In October, Senior News tunes up for a sing-along with “Musical Humboldt,” a tribute to this most harmonious place in the redwoods.
In “A Redwood Coast Musical Extravaganza,” Mark Larson highlights this year’s Redwood Coast Music Festival with over 120 performance across four locations this weekend. In “’Think Globally, Sing Locally’,” Seabury Gold celebrates the wide and diverse music scene of Humboldt, from the Irish/Celtic music to rock music to even Kirtan devotional singing.

Did you know PACE has reached the milestone of operating 200 programs nationwide! PACE programs across the country now help more than 90,000 seniors to live safely in their homes and communities. Locally we have been here 12 years this month currently serving 400 adults! Coordinated care teams provide medical care, meals, transportation, therapy and social connection. As the U.S. population ages, PACE proves that aging in place isn’t just possible, it works.

Every September, National Senior Center Month celebrates the important role senior centers play in helping older adults stay healthy, connected and engaged.
This month, we invite the community to celebrate with us. Join HSRC for a National Senior Center Month Open House on Wednesday, September 23, from 4:00–6:30 pm at our 1910 California St. campus in Eureka. Tour our programs and facilities, meet staff, learn about HSRC resources and enjoy refreshments and small bites provided by HSRC's Heritage Catering.
