Attention to all Eureka Kansas area artists and photographers. The City of Eureka, KS - Municipal Government is having a Birthday for Eureka's Historic Memorial Hall and we are asking all interested in submitting their projects for display on December 9 for our 100th Celebration of our great facility. Please have your project at City Hall by December 6 to be entered in the contest that will judged by the current and past Mayors of the City. Some great prizes for the winning entries. We look forward to your participation.

Don't forget to join us tomorrow at Eureka's Historic Memorial Hall for a public hearing at 6:00 PM in Eureka Kansas to learn about the exciting grants the City of Eureka, KS - Municipal Government are pursuing to help citizens improve their homes. We will also be having a second p***c hearing at 6:30 PM to discuss a grant to help improve Memorial Hall. Finally, we will be presenting the City's plans on improving our streets with an 1% sales tax renewal discussion. Hope to see you there as we look forward to answering all of your questions.

One week from today join Eureka Kansas, at Memorial Hall, starting at 6:00 PM where the City of Eureka, KS - Municipal Government will share information on two upcoming grants the City is pursuing. The CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Grant will be discussed and at 6:30 the grant for Memorial Hall will be discussed. The night will conclude with a discussion on the city's 1% sales tax renewal in November.

Eureka! Awesome!!! This was our first year to participate in the Emporia Community Foundation's annual Match Day and we rocked it! Out of 35 amazing organizations, the Greenwood Preservation Society ranked 3rd highest in money raised and brought nearly $41,000 to the Eureka's Historic Memorial Hall window restoration project. It was an honor for Marilyn Brink and I to attend the presentation this morning.

Emporia Match Day is in the books! Thanks to everyone! Eureka and those who love it are awesome! The ECF will total the online gifts, calculate the match and present us with the total in a ceremony on November 28th. Stay tuned ....
