The best part of this job has always been the people we meet — the charitable hearts, the volunteers, the hidden worker bees — all working for the benefit of others. Elise was this all rolled into one. She was purposeful with her time, talents and treasurers. She made a difference, a dent — she left a legacy of philanthropy that was so inspiring. It was our great honor to have known her.

A Celebration of Life for Elise Roenigk
We invite the community to gather in remembrance of our beloved owner, Elise Roenigk, and to honor her life, vision and dedication.

Please join us for a special tree blessing:

What a sad day. To lose a talent such as Dolly's and a champion of early literacy through her Imagination Library. We have proudly supported DPIL with grants through the local Carroll County Youth Literacy Foundation. Thank you, Dolly Parton, for creating this opportunity for children, for those who support books in Carroll County homes and for the local Rotarys who make it one of their many mighty works. Rest in peace, Dolly. Your good work lives on.

Today, Arkansas Imagination Library joins people around the world in mourning the loss of Dolly Parton, an extraordinary woman whose vision changed childhood for millions.

Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Dolly placed books into the hands and homes of children around the world and inspired a love of reading from the very beginning.

Here in Arkansas, Dolly’s vision has reached every county in our state. More than 82,000 Arkansas children currently receive an Imagination Library book in the mail each month, and more than 7 million books have been delivered to Arkansas children since the program began in our state in 2005.

Thank you, Dolly, for believing so deeply in the power of books and the potential of every child. Your legacy will live on for generations. We will always love you. ❤️

You can enroll a child into the program at ArkansasImaginationLibrary.org/enroll/

Arkansans wishing to honor Dolly by helping provide books to children here at home may donate directly to Arkansas Imagination Library at ArkansasImaginationLibrary.org/give.
