October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, and our dogs would love a little extra attention. No appointment necessary, just stop by and meet who's waiting. If you're not ready to adopt, a short field trip, an overnight Pawjama stay, or a longer foster placement all give a dog valuable time outside the kennel and help us learn more about each dog's personality.

Meet our available dogs at goodshepherd-hs.org/available-dogs.

I'm Hamster, a striking 1.5-year-old red heeler mix with a whole lot of heart! Could you please share my post to help me get adopted? I'm crate-trained and house-trained — basically ready to roll into your home. I'm a fetch expert who loves a good car ride, though I do take a little time to warm up to new folks. Once you're in my corner, I'm all loyalty and cuddles. I have been observed as being good with other dogs, kids, and even cats! I was in a foster home where they taught me so many things, but I am back at the shelter now and ready for a home to call my own. I have been with Good Shepherd for over 400 days. My adoption fee is waived, so come meet this handsome boy and let's start our adventure together! Meet me 7 days a week from 12- 5 p.m. at the Adoption Center, 6486 Hwy 62 W, Eureka Springs, AR 72632. 479-253-9188.

Do you know this dog?

This very long boy was found off of CR 708 between Green Forest and Berryville. We guess he is a German Shepherd Corgi mix, about a year old.

If you know where he belongs, please reach out to Good Shepherd at 479-253-9188!

NOTE: This dog is NOT available for adoption, but will be available at a later date if not claimed.

For the month of October, YOU get to choose how much to donate for the adoption fees!

Hey, I'm Rusty—a handsome 4-year-old orange boy with a serious passion for sunny spots! 🧡 At 11 pounds, I'm a solid, striking fellow who's already neutered and ready to settle into my forever home. I'm all about those golden sunbeams streaming through the window, and I'd love to share those cozy moments with you. Come meet me and let's find the sunniest corner of your place together! ☀️ Meet me Monday thorugh Saturday at the Berryville Thrift Store, 602 US Hwy 62 Spur, Berryville, AR 72616. 479-253-9188.
