Mystery 🔎Monday is revealed, it’s an aluminum collapsible travel cup. In the early days when people were flocking to Eureka Springs to “take the waters” local advertisements claimed all you needed to enjoy the town was a tin cup and a walking stick!

Here is a pretty amazing photo of the Eureka Springs Post Office under early construction in 1917. It was built at the ravine where Sweet Spring was originally located, and baptisms were once held. The building was completed and dedicated on March 23, 1918.

Prior to the post office designation, this location had been earmarked for the new Carnegie Public Library, but after spending considerable funds trying to prepare the site, it was deemed unusable and a parcel of land farther up Spring Street was donated by Richard Kerens for the library.
