Our guest speaker at our noon meeting today was St. Landry Parish Clerk Court Charles Jagneaux, guest of Rotarian Van Reed. Mr. Jagneaux shared information about historical exhibits being collected and placed on display in the clerk's building in Opelousas. Items in the collection include documents and photographs relating to the history of St. Landry Parish. Mr. Jagneaux also shared information about the processes of election day voting.
We were also blessed to have three of Eunice Rotary's four LSU Eunice Scholarship recipients at today's meeting. The club annually awards two scholarships at St. Edmund High School and two at Eunice High School. Our 2026 recipients are Dahlia Jones (Eunice HS), Wyatt Dubois (St. Edmund) and Charles Sonnier (St. Edmund). We wish these young people great success in their career paths.
