🌎 Nepalese American Chamber of Commerce | Southlake Global Business Council Summit 2026
The Nepalese American Chamber of Commerce remains committed to a clear mission: creating meaningful opportunities that connect our members to a broader and more dynamic global business ecosystem. Following a kind invitation from Kush Rao, we were honored to represent the Chamber at the inaugural Southlake Global Business Council Summit 2026, held at The Westin Southlake.
The summit brought together nearly 20 international business councils and chambers of commerce from Asia, Europe, Africa, and North America, fostering important dialogue on global collaboration, investment, and economic growth.
We had the privilege of hearing from distinguished leaders shaping regional development and industry innovation. Chris E. Wallace, President & CEO of the North Texas Commission, shared valuable insights on regional growth, competitiveness, and cross-sector collaboration. Ross Guieb, Executive Director of the George H. W. Bush Combat Development Complex at Texas A&M University, moderated an executive discussion focused on leadership and innovation.
The panel featured Rob Matwick, Executive Vice President of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club; Bill Burton, Executive Vice President of Hillwood; Emily Williams Knight, Ed.D., President & Chief Executive Officer of the Texas Restaurant Association; Todd Moore, Executive Chairman of Alliance Bank Central Texas; Caitlin McMinn, Executive Director of TechFW; and Dr. Valerie G. Segovia, Vice President of Investor Relations at the Texas Economic Development Corporation, each offering valuable perspectives on economic development, industry transformation, and opportunity creation.
These conversations reinforced our core mission of ensuring that the Nepalese American business community is not operating in isolation, but is actively engaged in and contributing to the global business landscape. The connections established during this summit are already opening doors for future collaboration and strategic partnerships aligned with our Chamber’s long-term vision.
