A big welcome to Bindu from Liberia, joining us for the 2025 WILD program!

Bindu oversees strategic planning, builds partnerships, and ensures project success as the Program Officer at Inclusive Development Initiative (IDI). She has led USAID Youth Advance programs, where she has empowered women and girls with disabilities through training and mentorship. Bindu plans to pursue a Master’s in Disability Studies and Public Advocacy to further her policy impact. Bindu has a physical disability and is an amputee.

Say hello to Nazma from Bangladesh, a powerful addition to the 2025 WILD cohort!

As Secretary General of WIDE and a volunteer at Access Bangladesh Foundation, Nazma leads advocacy efforts and conducts capacity-building workshops. She trains teachers and parents in Braille education and provides soft skills training to women with disabilities. With a Master’s in sociology, Nazma is passionate about inclusive education, GBV prevention, and expanding WIDE’s impact across Bangladesh. Nazma is blind.

Please welcome Jules from Zimbabwe to the 2025 WILD program!

Jules leads efforts to ensure girls and women with visual impairments access gender-based violence prevention information in braille, audio, and local languages. She is the Board Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Blind Women's Trust. In collaboration with Deaf Women Included, she has expanded accessible education and services for women with disabilities. She is deeply committed to climate justice and economic empowerment, as she advocates for inclusive responses to environmental change. She dreams of becoming a consultant and developing digital tools to advance disability rights. Jules is blind and deaf in her right ear.

Welcome, Marlise from Benin to the 2025 WILD delegation!

Marlise is passionate about the intersection of gender, disability, and technology. She is Founder and President of a disability-led organization in Benin with a mission to empower marginalized groups through digital literacy, training, and accessible technology. Marlise brings a unique perspective to WILD, as a woman with multiple disabilities – one congenital and one acquired later in life. She looks forward to recreating her WILD experience when she returns to Benin: “I’ll establish a mentorship network, connecting participants with local and international mentors to provide ongoing guidance and encouragement, reinforcing the lessons from [WILD].”

Introducing WILD delegate, Kezang from Bhutan!

With 27 years in inclusive education, Kezang is a Senior Teacher at a secondary school in Bhutan and is the co-founder of the Blind Women’s Association. She uses her voice to advance policies on transportation and education access, and attends youth leadership workshops to build networks for social change. “[WILD] will be a great opportunity to enhance my skills, knowledge and experiences. I will meet leaders from all around the world.”

We’re excited to introduce Amina from Pakistan as a 2025 WILD delegate!

Amina works as a general secretary of a disability organization in Pakistan. Her organization empowers women with disabilities through education and technical training. Amina also launched World of Courageous, a YouTube platform where she interviews successful women with disabilities and teaches essential life skills. On this channel, she also initiated live coverage of a local blind cricket tournament. Amina also led a digital education program teaching women with disabilities tech skills like using screen readers, MS Office, and social media platforms.

Amina looks forward to furthering her leadership skills through WILD: “I am deeply passionate about bringing change for women with disabilities, and I aim to use the skills and knowledge gained from WILD 2025 to create a lasting impact.”

We’re excited to introduce Senzeni from Zimbabwe as a 2025 WILD delegate!

Founder of Disability Network Goromonzi, Senzeni leads rural empowerment programs for women and girls with disabilities and has partnered with police and legal associations to prevent gender-based violence. As Vice Chairperson of the Equal Zimbabwe National Disability Rights Campaign, she pushes for modern disability legislation and organizes health clinics and skills workshops. Senzeni looks forward to bringing what she learns at WILD back to her community in Zimbabwe.

It's WILD Woman Summer! Say hello to WILD delegate Amalya from Armenia!

Amalya is the Co-founder and Executive Director of Havasar Educational Foundation, which works to create inclusive educational access using mobile apps and universal design. With a background in psychology, she’s developed accessible tools, coordinated one of Armenia’s largest disability coalitions, and led national advocacy campaigns. Amalya is passionate about youth leadership, media, and art. She has led several initiatives combining art and accessibility, including a project involving young artists designing accessible spaces and ramps. “It is important for me to use alternative arts as an advocacy tool.”

“I consider [it] my mission to build a better world for people with disabilities, and that’s why I want to be part of a group who brings change.”

Introducing 2025 WILD delegate, Riza from India!

Riza is a self-advocate representing the Down Syndrome Federation of India (DSFI). In her work, she has encouraged inclusive hiring practices across corporations in India, and has been featured in various media outlets. Riza has spoken at international conferences as an advocate, and is passionate about sharing her journey with others. She has expanded her advocacy work through art and acting, participating in national and international art exhibits, and acting in a Short Film selected for the Red Sea International Festival in 2024. “Through my art I express and communicate my opinions and emotions to the world.”

At WILD, Riza looks forward to interacting with delegates from around the world, each with their own experiences and strengths. “[WILD] will help me set a wider perspective forward to empower more women and girls with disabilities.”

Welcome, Vivans from Peru, to the 2025 WILD delegation!

Vivians is the Director of Communications of her organization, managing social media platforms and designing accessible communication materials. She leads monthly conversation panels emphasizing the importance of physical and mental health, and community solidarity. An aspiring journalist, Vivians is a writer who uses her personal blog to challenge stereotypes about disability and uplift authentic voices of women with disabilities. In addition to her work, Vivians is also an athlete with Achilles Perú.

“My goal is to maximize the knowledge and tools gained through [WILD] to strengthen local networks, inspire new leaders, and drive social change for women with disabilities in Latin America.”
