In less than four weeks we have 50 amazing students descending upon the University of Portland for our String Quartet Academy.

Some are taking their very first steps into chamber music, while others are preparing for conservatory study and professional careers. What unites them is a shared passion and commitment to creativity and connection through music.

For many of these students, attending the Academy wouldn’t be possible without financial support. This year, need-based scholarship requests total $12,700. We’re fortunate to have a dedicated supporter who has offered a $5,000 matching gift, doubling every contribution we receive toward scholarships.

Catch another side of Delgani cellist Eric Alterman, Thursday June 11th at Eugene's Art House. He shares his Tropi-Cascadia songwriting, blending classic folk with Brazilian rhythm. He is joined by Lucas Silva on percussion and David Campbell on trumpet. The show begins at 7:30, with an opening set by Rosemary Walks.

Delgani's first violinist, Anthea Kreston, was just named All Classical Radio's 2026-2027 Artist in Residence!

This past November Delgani was joined by Sarah Beaty, Henriët Fourie, and Vakare Petroliunaite for Love Abounds, a unique program blending strings and voices.

Sarah, Henriët, and Vakare have since formed a new vocal ensemble called TRIO CONTIQUE.

We hope our Portland-based friends will consider catching their upcoming debut on June 20!

Last week we finished up two days of visits to Eugene/Springfield schools as part of our Classical Spark initiative. Thanks to the following schools for letting us come by:
