Frolicking Meese Ceili Dance Beginner friendly Irish Céilí Dance classes in Eugene, Oregon. Come dance with us! Ceili dancing is the folk branch of the Irish dance tree. Curious?

The Frolicking Meese's Irish Ceili Dance classes are for anyone who likes dancing, fun and/or Irish music and culture. The best descriptions we've come up with are that it's an Irish version of square/contra dancing; or that it's similar to the kind of dancing you'd see in a Jane Austen movie, but sped up and danced to Irish music. Come try it out! Our classes are beginner friendly and fun. No experience or partner required! All ages welcome! Please see the pinned post on the main page or our website for current class info. Bring a water bottle and non-marking shoes that haven't been worn outside. Hope to see you soon!

It's October tomorrow, and that means the Tualatin Céilí is back! Irishpdx brings us an evening of dancing and music that will make your heart pound more than the spookiest of haunted houses! Featuring live music from Mikey Beglan, Randal Bays and Nancy Conescu. Admission is $15 at the door. Lesson starts at 7:30, with live music from 8 to 11.

Happy Hobbit Day from the Frolicking Meese! We tackled two more difficult dances in class (Jocelyn's Chutney and Frazier's Fool Jig) and had tasty Hobbit treats (honey cakes and Bucklebury Ferry stuffed pears) as a reward. Nothing goes better with dancing than a good meal with friends!
