TBRI In Real Life: Holt 's 2025 TBRI Workshop Series

Have you read The Connected Child and love the things you're reading but just don't know how to apply them? Are you looking for parenting strategies to help you address your child’s trauma history?

TBRI® is a relational intervention with practical strategies, techniques and principles to help you and your family! While TBRI was originally created specifically for foster and adoptive parents, the intervention is now being used across a wide range of organizations and services.

Parent workshops are led by Pam Shepard, LCSW, Supervisor of Clinical Services and Carolyn Cain, MSW, Post-Adoption Coaching & Education (PACE) Supervisor and an adoptive parent. Pam and Carolyn are both TBRI ® practitioners and Pam is a TBRI mentor.

These workshops will be taking place virtually via Zoom in hopes of allowing participants in all locations to join!

A Zoom link will be sent out the week of the training.

Dr. Jana Hunsley from Project 1025, will present Supporting Sibling Relationships in Adoption: Nurturing all your children.

Many caregivers ask the question, “what about my other children?,” when it comes to how adoption affects their families. In this class, we will deepen our understanding of the needs of children already in the home through discussing research evidence specifically on this family role. Plus, we will learn new, effective communication and connection strategies that not only meet the needs of resident children but also meet the needs of the whole family. Caregivers will be equipped with proven strategies that have led to decreased stress and increased satisfaction and connection in adoptive families. *If you cannot attend live, the recording of the webinar will be sent to all registrants.
