As you may know, excessively loud bikes closes access to trails. Oregon laws vary on the maximum allowable decibel output from OHVs. There is now an opportunity for us to reduce the chances of closures due to sound.
Please keep all your OHVs quiet.
Here is a statement from the AMA...

Please take about 5 minutes to fill out this survey from Oregon Parks and Recreation Dept. This is your opportunity to share what you think about improving our trails.

Every 10 years we conduct a survey to learn more about how Oregonians use land and water trails across the state. The survey results are used to identify needs and priorities to update the Oregon Trails Plan. Follow the link below to take the survey.

The survey will be available through April 30, and anyone who completes the survey can enter to win an annual Oregon State Parks day-use parking permit!

As you may know, OHV areas rely on grant funds. Grants are awarded by a "points system". One of the measures of points is the number of "letters of support" they have. The WNF is asking for letters of support for Huckleberry Flats. Please send your letter of support to [email protected].

Our Story

The mission of the Emerald Trail Riders Association is to promote safe, sustainable, and enjoyable off-highway motorcycle riding opportunities.

ETRA was formed in the 1990’s in response to the BLM plan of closing the trails surrounding Shotgun Creek, to off-highway vehicles (OHVs). For the past 3 decades, ETRA has promoted motorcycle trail riding through advocacy, legislative measures, partnering with public land managers, hosting the infamous Funky Chicken Hare Scramble, poker runs, providing Youth Safety Evaluations, and organizing volunteer work parties. In other words, we have banned together to protect the sport that has given us so much.

If you want to help save motorcycle trail riding, watch for posts that alert you to work parties and legislative action. We cannot save our sport without YOUR help.
