90by30

90by30 We are community-led and county-wide, focusing on local, research-backed strategies that fit the unique needs of each region or city.

An Initiative of the University of Oregon's Center for Childhood Safety and Wellbeing, 90by30 is dedicated to reducing child abuse and neglect in Lane County, Oregon. Our goal is to make Lane County a safe, healthy, and nurturing place for families and children by engaging our neighbors, focusing on primary prevention that stops child abuse before it starts, and finding a role for everyone in supp

orting parents. You – and all your neighbors – have an important role. We believe child abuse is prevented when kids are connected, families are supported, and community members take positive action. With programs like Roots of Empathy, the Welcome Baby Bundle, and Parent Cafés, we're making that vision a reality. Hundreds of Lane County residents have already joined the effort, and we invite you do to so as well. Visit 90by30.com to find out how you can make a difference today.

Cultivate's 2026/2027 Professional Development Catalog is Live!

When adults are equipped with the tools, language, and confidence to build safe, connected, and supportive environments, young people thrive.

If your school, district, or youth-serving organization is looking for facilitated training and intentional conversation around topics that strengthen prevention, belonging, and relationship-centered practices, Cultivate is here to support you.

Lessons are designed to deepen staff proficiency in engaging with students in ways that foster trust, connection, safety, and long-term impact — creating the conditions that support stronger student engagement, well-being, and learning outcomes.

Incredible work out of CSAW which will surely have lasting tangible impacts on prevention in Oregon and beyond!

The Promotive Plan is a community-driven approach to preventing child sexual abuse, developed in partnership with Protect Our Children and Oregon youth. It identifies the key conditions that help children stay safe and supported, and translates them into clear, actionable steps for families, organizations, and communities. Designed to complement broader prevention frameworks such as Prevent Child Abuse America’s Blueprint for Family Well-being, the plan strengthens upstream efforts by focusing specifically on the prevention of child sexual abuse. It offers a shared roadmap for building safer, more connected communities where children can thrive.

We have the best team!! Grateful to have the University of Oregon College of Education highlight another incredible team member and alum, Emily Johnson. Emily serves as an Associate Director and leads Cultivate School & Community Learning Collaborative. We are grateful that Emily continues to use her influence to impact children’s wellbeing through CSAWs projects, systems, policies, and partnerships.

I’ve rested on that foundation as a parent, a youth pastor, a middle school teacher, a nonprofit leader, and now in my work back at the University of Oregon in the Center for Chi...
