The calendar says it’s fall, so it must be time for the Hileman Heroes to start up the monthly work parties!

This coming Saturday, September 26 is the first work party of the year. Please join us for an hour or two, or as long as you would like, starting at 9:30 a.m., and going until 2:00 p.m.

We’re tackling blackberry crowns and other invasive plants, and doing some trail overgrowth work.

Hileman Landing County Park is located north of the Santa Clara neighborhood, at the end of Hileman Lane,
off E. Beacon Drive in Eugene, OR.

Our work parties are held on the last Saturday of each month, Fall through Spring. Please come help when you can. Enjoy the park anytime, dawn to dusk. And thanks for keeping Hileman Landing County Park clean and safe!

Thank you volunteers!

We literally can’t do this without you! From the event organizers, set up crew, the people who sit at the table, the ones who do research, and print the signs, the ones who know where everything is and what it is for, the ones who bring the supplies you didn’t know you needed, the take down crew, and everyone else who helped. Whew!

It takes a lot to host a neighborhood party, and we are thankful for everyone that came and helped.

Hileman Heroes Work Party: Saturday, June 27, 2026
9:30 am – 2:00 pm
Join us for an hour or two, or as long as you’d like, and take some time to explore the park before you leave.

Volunteers who accumulate 10 hours of volunteer time will receive a free annual Lane County Parking Pass, a $40 value good at ANY of the 50-plus parks in Lane County!

We’ll be trimming trails, digging root crowns and, since the water is so low, grabbing debris in down-channel gravel bars. And, if you’re game, collecting invasive American bullfrog tadpoles from the isolated gravel ponds.

Come together for some meaningful work and a sense of community accomplishment. This is a great opportunity to meet neighbors, enjoy the outdoors, and contribute to the cleanliness and health of our environment in a nearby riparian-forest ecosystem.
