Remember the bumper sticker that says “Think Globally, Act Locally?” That’s what the Hileman Heroes do!

Saturday, April 25th is the next work party.
Please join us from 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Work for an hour or two, or as long as you can!

This Saturday we’re working on removing yellow flag iris in the flood channel and young thistles before they can sprout on the gravel bar.

It’s a good excuse to be outside, meet neighbors, and contribute to the health of the Willamette River riparian zone.
Come on out!

Hileman Heroes work party!
Saturday, March 28th
from 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Come together for some meaningful work and a sense of community accomplishment. This is a great opportunity to meet neighbors, enjoy the outdoors, and contribute to the cleanliness and health of our environment in a nearby riparian-forest ecosystem.

Hileman Landing County Park is located north of the Santa Clara neighborhood, at the end of Hileman Lane,
off E. Beacon Drive in Eugene, OR.

Our work parties are held on the last Saturday of each month, Fall through Spring. Please come help when you can. Enjoy the park anytime, dawn to dusk. And thanks for keeping Hileman Landing County Park clean and safe!

Just for fun, Tim has posted a 170-year aerial timeline of Hileman Landing — from 1853 to 2023!

It’s spring, the weather is turning nice, and it’s good to be outside. Recently there has been a group of people that have taken to riding motorized dirt bikes on the trails at Hileman. It’s tempting, we get it…
But please, don’t! Not only is it dangerous, it’s not legal.

Volunteers have been working hard to maintain trails and create new ones. These are for people, fur friends and wildlife to use.

Hileman Landing is a county park, and motorized vehicles are not permitted past the main gate. Please help us keep the park safe, and leave the wheels in the parking lot.

Thanks, Santa Clara!

Apparently I have been talking about the river otters a bit too much…

But there are river otters in the around Hileman Landing! Real ones, not cute kitties pretending.

If you are interested in helping restore the habitat at Hileman Landing, there’s a work party this coming Saturday, February 28th. Please join us! We will be there from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
