For personnel and financial reasons, Northwest Youth Corps has made the difficult decision to suspend farm operations for the 2020 growing season. In the meantime we are going to give our land a chance to rest, hope that any pests and soil-borne diseases will have their life cycles interrupted, and with any luck we will come back strong in 2021.

You may see Farmer Dan periodically on the farm in the next little bit; his efforts will be focused on tucking in the land (cover cropping and mulching to protect and enrich the soil, mowing to prevent seeding by w**d species, and re-homing our resident flocks of poultry) for its period of rest.

Thank you for your support, and we'll see you next year.

On 9/26/19, 24 volunteers from Guaranty, Oregon Pacific Bank, Feynman Group, and the community volunteered at our Farm! Activities they carried out will help our Twin Rivers Charter School grow more of its own food. Crews helped us build a large greenhouse, to increase our winter growing space by 500%, as well as helped us prepare and plant garlic, and clear space where we are going to install five low tunnels. Thank you again for your service to youth!

Farmer Dan will be on-site from 9 AM to noon today - we will not be running a formal farm stand, but if you are interested in purchasing produce drop by and check in. Due to the early on-set of fall slowing everything down, the start of the school year, and our continuing CSA program, our produce is stretched pretty thin at the moment but we still have plentiful amounts of tomatoes, basil, carrots, and cooking greens.

Hi all,

Since we are a one-person operation and that one person will be attending a family event this weekend and a wedding across the country next weekend, our Saturday farm stand will be CLOSED on September 7th and September 14th. Check back in with us on the 21st for fresh, local produce!

Farm stand today from 1-3:30 PM! We put the last of our first round of sweet corn in CSA boxes yesterday, but we've still got TONS and TONS of tomatoes, peppers, and fresh basil for your salsa, sauce, and pesto-making needs. We've also got potatoes, garlic, carrots, greens, and more!
