The East Blair Housing Cooperative (EBHC) is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our community. This role is perfect for someone who is not only competent and organized but also passionate about contributing to a harmonious and supportive environment.

About the Role: As our Bookkeeper/Office Manager, you will be an essential part of our cooperative, helping to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will handle a range of responsibilities, including bookkeeping, payroll, maintaining office equipment, and supporting the Management Committee with financial reports. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our members and contribute to a positive and collaborative atmosphere.

What We’re Looking For:

- Calm and Composure: You will be a key player in managing our cooperative’s operations, so the ability to stay composed in all situations is crucial.

- Attention to Detail: Your role will involve managing finances, preparing reports, and ensuring everything is in order, so meticulousness is a must.

- Good Communication Skills: You'll need to communicate effectively with both members and external contacts, ensuring everyone is well-informed and supported.

Compensation:

- $22 - $44 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all bookkeeping and financial reporting for the cooperative.

- Maintain office operations, including managing supplies and equipment.

- Support the Management Committee with regular financial reports and annual audits.

- Foster positive communication and a collaborative atmosphere within the cooperative.
