CLF Network A non-profit composed of young professionals who volunteer and fundraise to benefit local children's charities. Some include:
1.

The Children's Legacy Foundation (CLF) Network is focused on serviceable citizenship in the community of Oregon's Lane County and specifically works to improve the quality of life for underserved children.
-Our Network is comprised of people between the ages of 21 and 50.
-We hold lunch meetings every first and third Tuesday of the month at DickieJo's Burgers.
-Our Board of Directors meets every s

econd and fourth week of the month.
-Members of the CLF Network donate tens of thousands of hours every year in order to serve children's charities in Lane County. There are many ways our Network helps the community. We staff projects held by other children's organizations to help them raise money.
2. We organize and staff hands-on projects where we work directly with children.
3. We organize and staff projects put on by our Network in order to raise money that is then redistributed to the dozens of local charities dedicated to serving children in our community.

🛍️ Back-to-School Essentials Delivered | Children's Shopping Spree 2026 🛍️

Another successful year of Children's Shopping Spree is in the books! CLF Network members and guests took 43 children from Boys & Girls Clubs of Emerald Valley to pick out brand new clothes, shoes, and accessories before enjoying a delicious lunch of sandwiches and cinnamon rolls together. Each child received over $200 in brand new items, gift cards for Subway and Cinnabon, coupons for Candy Tyme, a backpack filled with school supplies, and a lunchbox full of non-perishable items.

First, thank you to JCPenney for hosting us again this year, providing grant funds to support the project, and discounting most of the items that children were able to purchase. Their partnership allows us to stretch every dollar and get high-quality items into the hands of kids in need.

Not only did we have SELCO Community Credit Union volunteers join us for the shopping spree, but SELCO generously granted $1,000 to fill backpacks and lunchboxes with items to set these kids up for success. They helped our chair and co-chair shop for these essentials, and even stuffed the backpacks for us! Thank you SELCO for your generosity and commitment to supporting kids in our community!

Our friends at Valley River Center coordinated with several businesses in the food court to provide lunch for kids after shopping. This always makes for a successful shopping spree, as children work up an appetite after multiple hours shopping for clothes and accessories. Thank you for continuing to support this project!

This year, we were able to stretch our dollars even more with a generous grant from Knights of Pythias. Their support helped us serve a record-breaking 43 kids!

Cheers to our 42 volunteers for spending their Saturday morning mentoring these kids and making their experience an unforgettable one. As 2026 Chair Ashley Mahlum said, "This project provides meaningful support while allowing children to make their own choices and experience the excitement of shopping for things they need. Beyond meeting tangible needs, this event builds connection and community by bringing together nonprofit partners, businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and families around a shared commitment to helping local children thrive." She and co-chair Maggie Van Wey-Wells did a spectacular job! ✨

No child in Lane County should have to brave a freezing winter morning without a warm coat.

As the temperature drops this winter, thousands of kids in our community walk to school or wait at the bus stop without the basic warmth they need to thrive. At the CLF Network, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, warm, and cared for—and with your help, we can make sure no kid gets left out in the cold this season.

Our Coats for Kids campaign has set a goal to collect, clean, sort, and distribute over 2,000 warm winter coats directly to local children in need. Every single coat collected is professionally cleaned, carefully sorted, and handed off to trusted community partners who place them directly into the hands of local kids who need them most.

To reach 2,000 children, we cannot do this alone. We are actively seeking compassionate local businesses and leaders to partner with us:

Title Sponsor ($3,000): Become the leading force behind this entire initiative and ensure thousands of local kids stay warm all winter long.

New Coat Sponsor ($1,000): Fund brand-new, high-quality winter coats directly for children in need across Lane County.

Donation Barrel Hosts: Have a high-traffic or busy location in the community? Host a collection barrel at your business or site to give people an easy way to donate.

When you sponsor Coats for Kids, you aren't just putting your name on a banner—you are giving a child dignity, comfort, and the gift of warmth when they need it most.

Ready to make a lasting difference in a child's life this winter?

DM us directly or drop a comment below to secure your sponsorship level or sign up to host a donation barrel. Let’s wrap Lane County in warmth, together. ❤️🧥

Remember, with CLF Network 100% of items and funds donated to us go directly back to helping kids in our community.

CLF Network is usually known for Duck Pen at all the home football games, but we also served attendees at one of Autzen Stadium's first concerts since 2020. The stadium was packed, the line wrapped around our bike valet, and we got to enjoy some delicious food from both BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse and Vitality Bowls!

BJ's generously fed our team of volunteers with pizzas (including a few gluten free options)! Vitality Bowls served us some refreshing chia pudding and vegan wraps. Thank you for supporting CLF Network and our efforts to fundraise for underserved youth in Lane County! 💟

Thank you to everyone who parked a bike with us! This remains one of our largest fundraisers, and extra events at Autzen during the Ducks' offseason only increases our capacity to give back to kids in need.

And as always, thank you to Morel Ink for printing all of our tickets for the season! We can't have a bike valet without the tickets and ticket tags; your support is so appreciated!

Stop by our next events to see how you can have fun with lifelong friends and give back to your community:
Lunch Meeting with Scavenger Hunt Mission Planning tomorrow at 12:30pm;
Evening Walk & Ice Cream Social! Wednesday evening starting at 6:15pm;
Paint & Picnic Social with CLF Network! next Tuesday, $20 per person including all supplies, snacks, and refreshing beverages!

Last week, CLF Network had the pleasure of welcoming Sean and Damian from Sporting Cascades to talk about the exciting things happening with Eugene’s professional soccer team!

They both have backgrounds in community engagement, and have given out season tickets to nonprofits whose clients wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford attending a soccer game. They’ve also worked with middle school journalists to give them an opportunity to sit in the press box at each game, getting experience for their future careers in sports writing.

Thank you Sean and Damian for speaking at our last dinner meeting! Some of our members have already signed up to secure those coveted season tickets. We’re looking forward to hosting a few socials at Civic Park next season! ⚽️

Tonight, we’re pivoting to a different sport for the Community Spotlight Social with Eugene Emeralds! Then next week, we’re planning for our brand new fundraising project at our Lunch Meeting with Scavenger Hunt Mission Planning. Stop by for a special preview into this fun new project, and share your ideas!

Wednesday evening we’ll be meeting at Prince Puckler’s for some ice cream before heading to Hendrick’s Park for an evening stroll and social. Stop by and make some amazing new friends!

There are a lot of things CLF Network has accomplished in our history, but 3 separate projects on one day may be a first for us?

A group of our members went to Amazon Community Center, City of Eugene for their amazing Teddy Bear Picnic, which absolutely is as cute as it sounds. Congratulations to City of Eugene Recreation for this really cool event.

During the same time another group of our members helped staff the kids carnival at the Oregon Asian Celebration at Alton Baker Park.

To complete the trifecta we had a third group at the Adkins Blueberry Farm Blues and Brews Festival. We had members there from 9:30-6:30 to help support our great friends at CASA of Lane County!

This week is just as busy for us.
We completed our planning meeting for our new Scavenger Hunt Project last night.
Tonight we have our Dinner Meeting & Special Presentation with Damian Foley of Sporting Cascades FC
Wednesday we will be doing our prep our bike valet this Saturday.
Thursday we will be setting up for TJ Classic.
Friday we have our annual TJ Classic.
Then join us Saturday for Zach Bryan Concert Bike Valet!
