The Oregon Law Students Public Interest Fund (OLSPIF) is a non-profit run by and for the students of the University of Oregon School of Law.

Supporting access to justice through fundraising for stipends, which are provided to law students who take unpaid summer positions in the public interest sector. Our mission is to support the next generation of public service leaders! Through our fundraising, we award $5,000 summer stipends to students who accept public interest positions that otherwise would be unpaid. These stipends ensure that students receive the practical legal education they need to be strong advocates for under-represented communities and that nonprofits and the people they serve have law clerks. All students enrolled at UO Law with a qualifying position and who volunteer at least ten hours for OLSPIF are eligible to apply for a stipend.

Our OLSPIF Mardi Law attendees were all-smiles! 👏🎉 OLSPIF raised over $60,000 this February thanks to our generous donors. These dollars go directly toward stipends for students pursuing public interest work. Stay tuned for 2026 stipend application information - due April 12! 💵 We would like to give a special thanks to 1L Oregon Law student, Megan Shubert for volunteering her time and capturing joy in these photographs! 😊 📸

We are reminiscing on our Mardi Law fundraising event! 🎊🥂OLSPIF had a successful night — generous donors from law firms across the state and the University of Oregon School of Law raised over $60,000! These dollars go directly towards stipends for students pursuing public interest work this summer. This would not be possible without our supporters 💚 OLSPIF would like to thank the amazing attorneys, law school staff, student volunteers, student attendees, and every organization who donated funds, raffle prizes, or their time to this event. We also recognize Zainab Emaan Muhammad for volunteering her time to take these amazing photographs. Keep an eye out for more featured student photography! ✨📸
