The Jeanette Maples Project is a vision of several Lane County residents working to honor the memory of Jeanette Maples, a 15-year-old Eugene girl murdered by her parents by ongoing physical abuse, neglect, and maltreatment. Though the circumstances of Jeanette’s death were horrible, those involved with the Jeanette Maples Project have decided to work toward establishing a positive lasting memorial to Jeanette, rather than to focus on those responsible for her tragically premature death.
