Join us tomorrow to hear Jennifer MacLean with NAMI Lane County talk. 8:00 at the veteran memorial building on Willamette in Eugene! Here is what she will be discussing;

Did you know that 1-4 people live with a mental illness? The stigma of living with a mental illness still exists, unfortunately, but we can make a difference by speaking openly about our own mental health. Here and there, we will share about community members who struggle with mental health and how they live with it.

Our first community member is one of our own, Jennifer MacLean our Executive Director at NAMI of Lane County.

1) What is your name and occupation? My name is Jennifer MacLean and my pronouns are she/her and I am the Executive Director at NAMI of Lane County.

2) What is your own experience with mental health? I live with Depression and PTSD.

2) How do you balance work and your mental health? I utilize alternative care to help with my physical symptoms of my illnesses, I take walks, pet my cats, and do jigsaw puzzles for self care.

3) What is one thing you could say to someone struggling with mental health issues? Just listening and being there is the best support to someone who is suffering.
