The Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce is closed today in observance of Juneteenth.

We encourage our members and community to take time to learn and celebrate. For those looking to participate, the EUGENE JUNETEENTH Rhythm and Resilience Celebration! will take place this afternoon at Downtown Riverfront Park.

It’s also a meaningful time to recognize and uplift Black‑owned businesses that contribute so much to our community. Find a list here:

One of the programs that earned our community national recognition: ACT Now Lane. 💚

When the Eugene Chamber published 'The State of Our Homelessness Crisis' report in 2021, it served as a catalyst for deeper conversations and involvement by the business community in this issue. Over the next four years this work has evolved into a community-wide coalition. Today, A.C.T. Now Lane brings together 40+ partners, including nonprofits, businesses, government agencies, and community members, all working on the same problem with the same data, rallying around shared strategies.

In May 2026 alone: 595 people exited Lane County's homelessness system. Workforce training programs have served nearly 100 shelter clients. Cross-sector advocacy, public education, and housing production work is actively underway.

We are grateful for the partners we get to work with in our community and are hopeful this collective effort is helping to move the needle on this important work. Learn more: ACTNowLane.org | eugenechamber.com

Along with Eugene, Cascades & Coast and theSpringfield Chamber of Commerce , we & Onward Eugene co‑hosted the Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association's Regional Roundup. This event brought together local restaurants and lodging operators for an important conversation about the future of the industry.

Participants shared the real challenges they’re facing today, from rising costs and workforce shortages to changing consumer expectations and cultural shifts. The conversation also highlighted strong support for investments in economic development efforts that help drive tourism and growth across our region.

We were glad to join the Arthur Murray team and community members to celebrate a studio dedicated to making dancing welcoming for beginners. From Swing and Waltz to Salsa and Tango, it’s clear they’re creating a space where people can build confidence and enjoy learning something new.

We are proud to share that the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce has been named a 2026 ACCE Chamber of the Year Finalist! 🎉
ACCE — the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives — represents more than 1,700 chambers across North America. Being named a finalist means our organization, and our business community, is being held up as one of the best in the country. Here's what ACCE evaluated:
• A.C.T. Now Lane — the community coalition addressing Lane County's homelessness and housing crisis, now 40+ partners strong, with real workforce training outcomes and real progress towards addressing the housing and homelessness crisis in our region.
• Elevate 2028 — the five-year regional economic initiative we're leading with Onward Eugene, with nearly $5M raised and 3,800 jobs projected for our region.
• Voice of Business — our civic leadership initiative that drove a 220% increase in business advocacy engagement, influenced 13 state bills, and launched the new LIFT Lane PAC — building the infrastructure for broader engagement in public decision-making.
