Ospirg at Lane OSPIRG advocates make sure that WE, THE PUBLIC, also has a direct line to politicians.

Students all over the state elect to pay a few dollars per student per term and this money is used to hire a staff of professional advocates who work off campus in Portland, Salem, and Washington DC. These advocates represent us directly to politicians everyday, which is really important because big special interest corporations have thousands of politicians everyday who persuade politicians to work against the common good.

GET INVOLVED WITH OSPIRG AT LANE! It's easy. Right now our lead campaign is Safe Food, Healthy Kids; over 13 million pounds of chicken that would have otherwise been sold as dog food has been sold to children through the national school lunch program- GROSS. Let's get the Obama Administration to act on this!!
