Keur Birane is the second community to benefit from a processing unit equipped with food-processing machinery and a solar-powered freezer, following the village of Mbossédji in the Guinguineo Department of the Kaolack Region.

This initiative goes beyond simply increasing incomes; it creates a sustainable pathway to economic empowerment and strengthens women’s leadership and economic independence.

For CREATE! NGO, every drop of water counts!
Effective water resource management enables rural communities to develop sustainable livelihoods.
In the past, our partner communities only practiced vegetable gardening during the rainy season, which lasts an average of just three months. Today, thanks to access to appropriate irrigation solutions, we are witnessing significant increases in production, particularly in vegetable gardening and agroforestry. These activities can now be carried out throughout the year, without relying exclusively on the rainy season.
This progress demonstrates an essential reality: Without water, nothing is possible. 💧🌱

The 2026 National Reforestation Campaign was officially launched on Sunday, August 9, in Darou Salam, in the Nioro du Rip Department.

Through this initiative, the NGO CREATE! is reaffirming its commitment to environmental protection through reforestation and the distribution of seedlings in its areas of intervention.

Let us remember that success is measured not only by the number of trees planted, but above all by the number of trees that survive, grow, and benefit future generations.
