Experience Epiphanies of Flight: Women and the Art of Becoming, a powerful new exhibition by Filipino American multidisciplinary artist Melissa Nolledo

Through conceptual portraits, mixed-media works and selections from her 2025 “365 Days of Art” series, Nolledo explores themes of memory, migration, identity and self-discovery. Her work honors women who rebuild after loss, cross literal and emotional borders, lead with courage and care, and shape their communities in meaningful ways.

The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the stories we inherit, the stories we choose and the stories that allow us to grow.

DAY WITHOUT AN IMMIGRANT

WHAT'S HAPPENING: Join PCUN and Oregonians across the state for the third Day Without An Immigrant, honoring the importance of immigrant communities in our state and demonstrating the power we have when we stand in solidarity. If you can, PCUN urges you to take the day off from work and not to participate economically – no work, no shopping, no school.

SERVING JUSTICE

Community Alliance of Lane County (CALC) is launching Serving Justice—a youth-led food truck initiative that transforms barriers into pathways. This isn’t just about food. It’s about creating a mobile classroom where young people gain paid employment, entrepreneurial training, and leadership development while celebrating their cultural identities.

Through Serving Justice, youth will:
* Write their own business plan
* Design menus rooted in culture and creativity
* Earn certifications and build resumes
* Learn budgeting, customer service, and marketing
* Operate a food truck that belongs to them and their vision

BIPOC youth in our community continue to face systemic barriers to employment and economic mobility. Too often, opportunities are limited, mentorship is scarce, and their voices are overlooked. Serving Justice responds with urgency—placing youth at the center, giving them the tools to thrive, and amplifying their leadership in a way that benefits the entire community.

Your Giving Tuesday gift fuels more than a food truck. It fuels transformation. It ensures that young leaders have the resources, mentorship, and agency to shape their futures—and our collective future.

Equity rolls forward when we invest in youth. Justice moves forward when we stand together. Join us this Giving Tuesday. Be part of Serving Justice.

CALC’s Serving Justice initiative empowers BIPOC youth through a youth-led food truck, providing paid work, hands-on business training, and mentorship as part of the UdA leadership program, promoting equity and entrepreneurship.
