YAL LCC Faculty Advisor Jeffrey Borrowdale targeted by local Antifa members for advocating for free speech: https://www.campusreform.org/?ID=10184

A professor was recently targeted by an Antifa group, which was upset that he was helping to host a debate about free speech on college campuses.

Students for Liberty PNW Conference hosted at UO Saturday, November 4th. El freebo. No long drive to Portland or Seattle! I'll be there. Who else wants to go? Come on, let's re-pre-sent!

The Pacific Northwest Regional Conference aims to bring together participants who are “All in for Liberty”, focusing on taxation and public lands. Participants should prepare not only to discover new ideas but to connect with like-minded students and leave inspired by speakers such as Senior Fellow…

We're meeting today 12-1 in Building 1, Room 224. Hope to see you there.

We had an even *bigger* turnout last week. Each of us had a chance to introduce ourselves and talk about our political philosophies and the thinkers with which we most identify. We'll be in 1/224 again tomorrow at noon and hope to see you there. Maybe we can talk about the political display on the quad that caused quite a stir today. Maybe that should be *us* there later this term or next with a liberty-themed display!

Our Story

Fall Term meetings will be Tuesdays 3-4 in Center 202 (we're planning some special events at other times as well - stay tuned).

Young Americans for Liberty is dedicated to the advancement of individual rights, personal responsibility and a free society guided by reason, tolerance and compassion. Our guiding principle: You have the right to do as you please so long as you aren't interfering with others' right to do the same.

More government means less freedom, which is why State power must be limited. The purpose of the State is to protect life, liberty and property: the police to protect people from crime, the military to guard against foreign invasion, courts of last resort for peacefully arbitrating disputes and protection of the shared natural environment in which we all must live. Beyond this protective function and perhaps providing some basic infrastructure, government should leave people alone.

A free society is a prosperous society where everyone has the opportunity to advance through individual initiative and hard work. The free enterprise system has made America the wealthiest nation on the planet and is lifting millions out of poverty around the world. Meanwhile, socialist regimes promise the moon but can’t even meet people’s most basic needs.
