Hey all! It's time to get your Fern Burn on!
The event this year is Thursday-Sunday May 1-4.
We have a big beautiful new site and an expanded set of dates! We will be burning an effigy in the theme of Phoenix Rising on Saturday night! It's gonna be lit. We will rise from the ashes!
We have fewer noise restrictions than we had in the past as well.
Speaking of volunteers ... Do you have time to help? If you can contribute all your hours before the event this year, you can earn your discount for this year! If you can contribute your hours during the event or in combination with hours contributed beforehand, you'll earn your discount for next year. It only takes 12 hours.
We have a work party 2/22 & 2/23.. The hours count! .. And there will be more work parties coming.. We will be doing work on site to prep for the event, and ... The hours all count.
We are looking for volunteers for our Stewards, Gate, Greeters, Placement, and Effigy Build team.
We have a few leads already, but we would love to have a few more so not only can more of the community be involved and collaborate, but so that we can all share the load. Yay for participation!
Tickets are up and available. There are two different attendee tickets. A Patron ticket and regular ticket. They both get you the same thing. However, Patron ticket buyers help us to provide reduced cost tickets to our volunteers and help support art grants.
Vehicle passes are free, but you need one. If you want to bring a small rv, please reach out to us directly. We have a few places for them, and will prioritize accessibility for those who need it.
Children 12 and under are also free, please reach out to us so we can put your kiddos on our list.
It is important that we have enough early ticket sales to fund the things we like such as portos, insurance, effigy build, burn, an event sticker, and some art grants. We also need to know how many people are coming so we can do good planning. We have decided to try a tiered ticket price system this year to help with those goals. Tickets are $75 now, they will go up to $90 on 3/30 and to $110 on 4/20. There are an unlimited number of tickets in these tiers. If every attendee gets their ticket for $75 that would be fantastic.
