✨️Participation Reminders✨️

To help keep things clear and running smoothly:

• Youth under 16 may attend for free
• Individuals 16 and older are asked to either volunteer or pay to attend
• If a volunteer is bringing a child who requires a high level of support that may interfere with their ability to fulfill volunteer responsibilities, we ask that another adult attend to support that child, or that the individual attend as a participant rather than a volunteer. *Camp is currently full, waitlist option*
• Sign up for shifts that you feel comfortable in doing. Some shifts require physical activity, so come prepared!
• You will be eat REALLY amazing food, thank you chef Jessica McMullen 🥰

✨️Volunteer Roles✨️
Here’s a quick look at some of the ways you can be involved

🍽 Dish Pit Crew
Help keep camp running behind the scenes by washing and sanitizing dishes, keeping the kitchen area organized, and supporting meal service. This is a hands-on, active role—be ready to get a little wet and wear closed-toe shoes!

🚗 Parking Lot Support
Be part of the first impression at camp! Help direct traffic, greet families, assist with unloading, and support campers in getting settled. Great for those who enjoy being outdoors and staying active.

🥗 Kitchen Crew
Support meal prep and service by helping with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen space. A fast-paced, team-oriented role at the heart of camp.

🎨 Craft Support
Work directly with campers to create fun projects like decorating sunglasses, lavender crafts, and nature collages. This role is perfect for creative, patient individuals who enjoy hands-on activities and connection.

🔥 Activity Support
Help create memorable camp experiences through fun, engaging activities like making and serving popcorn, setting up outdoor movies, managing the fire pit, organizing slip n’ slide fun, and supporting other recreational activities throughout camp. This role is perfect for energetic, flexible individuals who enjoy being hands-on, creating a fun atmosphere, and connecting with campers.

💙 Vibe Crew (Selected Roles)
These positions are hand-selected and require CPR/First Aid certification, strong awareness skills, and experience supporting individuals with I/DD. This team helps support campers who may be in distress and ensures a safe, supportive environment.
*Please include in your volunteer registration under "Other Information - what special skills, experience, or interests do you have that could be helpful?" if you are CPR certified, have experience working with individuals in the IDD field, or special certifications you currently hold. OIS, ect. Or are a DSP with a provider agency.*

We truly couldn’t make this camp happen without you. 🥹 Whether you’re behind the scenes or working directly with campers, every role makes a difference!!
If you have any questions or want help deciding which role might be a good fit, feel free to reach out!

P.S........ The Kitchen and Dish-Pit have the MOST fun!!!

Thank you for being part of this incredible community—we can’t wait to see you at camp 💙

My name is Libby Quinn, and I am a Senior Community Research Liaison at Oregon Health and Science University and a psychotherapist in the Portland area. I wanted to share information about the Transition to Adulthood Council (TAC), an OHSU-based program.

The TAC is a paid community advisory board for young adults ages 18-26 with disabilities. Members receive instruction from staff in the UCEDD at OHSU relating to disability justice, leadership, and advocacy skills, which they apply by advising various clinical and community programs. Membership lasts 2 years and allows members to evolve from learners to leaders within the group and their broader communities. Members participate in council meetings, co-facilitate seminars for healthcare professionals, provide feedback on clinical tools or policies, presenting at conferences, and participating in advocacy events.
We are currently recruiting for the 2026-2028 TAC term.
