ServantCARE is a Christian ministry committed to serving those very people, missionaries and those in ministry. We do not supplant the support provided by mission agencies or ministries, but rather seek to enhance that care by providing additional, as well as supplemental services. Almost every mission agency cares deeply for its personnel, and provides training, encouragement, and support for the

m. Often, most of the actual contact, however, comes while they are home. As a cross-denominational ministry, we often work with independent missionaries who have few other means of encouragement and help by visiting them where they serve. We seek to care for the whole person, providing for their unique needs. Ministry families come to us from all areas of the world, some needing quiet rest, some needing healing from wounds of conflict and persecution, others simply needing to be heard, understood and supported in their time of trials. Whatever the needs, we seek to always be instruments of refreshment and restoration. We offer:

Hospitality Homes ~ Available as missionaries travel in the U.S. as we encourage Christians to share their abundance by making housing available for furloughs and sabbaticals. Equipping the Saints ~ We encourage pastors and Christian leaders to share their knowledge and skills with other pastors and missionaries on the field. Prayer Shield ~ Effective prayer support by over 130 intercessors. We get wonderful praise reports! Regional CARE Locations ~ We offer a safe place to go and caring people to go to for personal ministry with certified and licensed couples at 8 locations around the county. Retreat Center – The Dwelling Place in Cassville , Wisconsin is available for retreats of a few days or for lengthy sabbaticals for missionaries and those in ministry. Resource Links ~ Twenty five pages of information on resources in many needed areas including scholarship resources for MK’s. Seminars ~ On occasion we will send/take someone to a seminar for training or refreshing. Books and CD’s ~ We supply many during the year. Computers ~ As God gives provision we pass them on to meet needs. At ServantCARE, we desire to see the Body of Christ come to maturity in relation to missions, hospitality, servanthood (ministry to others), evangelism, intercessory prayer, and strategic prayer. We are available to teach (equip the saints) in small groups and churches on any of these subjects.

It’s summertime — a time for vacation, travel plans, and busy schedules.

For many pastors, missionaries, and ministry families, it’s also a chance to slow down, reconnect, and breathe again.

Did you know our entire ServantCARE team celebrates every time a new Hospitality Home is added? 🏡❤️

Because to us, it’s never just “another home.” It means:
• another ministry family can rest
• another missionary can receive CARE
• another pastor can breathe
• another marriage can reconnect
• another family can make memories together

We never stop being grateful for the hosts who make this ministry possible. Your hospitality truly impacts lives in ways you may never fully see.

One more home = more people served, encouraged, and refreshed for ministry.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆:
Larry and Anita, our previous directors, were in their late 30’s when Larry began working with Waffle House . They loved and saw it as their Marketplace ministry.

18 years later, God began to speak to them about ministering to the Church. His sheep. Particularly servant leaders. "But God, Christians already have Jesus, they don't need us to minister to them, the lost need Jesus!" was Anita's response. So, after a time of struggle, one day while Anita was wrestling with this invitation, God spoke to her, "Anita, you can continue to win them one at a time, or you can have nations for your inheritance." That was the revelation she needed. Anita caught the vision of touching a leader's life, who can then in turn, touch the life of a family...a community...a nation. Touching Lives, Impacting Nations. One day, the question was asked, "God, could you define for us a little of what it is you want us to do?" He gave them a vision of a key ring with a little box hanging from it. God then said clearly, "There are millions of Christians in boxes just like that and I want you to let them out." Thus began the days of listening to how He wanted them to do that and ultimately, it became clear that ServantCARE was the way.

In 2000, they ended the Waffle House ministry and joined the recently launched ministry of ServantCARE along with the founder, Michael Parham. As they spent time with missionaries, many needs became abundantly clear to them, like stateside housing, personal heart ministry, and additional prayer coverage, among other things. Thus began the days of taking long road trips, building a network of biblical counselors and recruiting others into this ministry of CARE.

In May of 2024, Miss Anita passed from this world into eternity to be with the Lord. We are so grateful for the legacy of Mrs. Anita & Mr. Larry, setting a strong foundation of genuine love and CARE for people, one at a time. We are honored to carry this heart into the next season. Today, Larry serves on the board of ServantCARE, helping to guide the ministry into the next chapter of Kingdom work as we continue to CARE for those who serve. To God be the Glory!

🎉 What an amazing April! We are so grateful for each host who opened their doors. It's an honor to serve each guest.

A recent host's feedback: "The only thing that would have made it better was if the guests decided to stay longer, and we understood their itinerary would not allow for that. They were a sheer delight." 💛

Did you know that we have international ServantCARE Hospitality Homes? Canada, Costa Rica, Brazil, Honduras, and more... and growing! 🌏

We know it's not always feasible for missionaries to get to the States to rest. We're thankful there are people around the world who open their doors to those in ministry.
