ServantCARE is a Christian ministry committed to serving those very people, missionaries and those in ministry. We do not supplant the support provided by mission agencies or ministries, but rather seek to enhance that care by providing additional, as well as supplemental services. Almost every mission agency cares deeply for its personnel, and provides training, encouragement, and support for the

m. Often, most of the actual contact, however, comes while they are home. As a cross-denominational ministry, we often work with independent missionaries who have few other means of encouragement and help by visiting them where they serve. We seek to care for the whole person, providing for their unique needs. Ministry families come to us from all areas of the world, some needing quiet rest, some needing healing from wounds of conflict and persecution, others simply needing to be heard, understood and supported in their time of trials. Whatever the needs, we seek to always be instruments of refreshment and restoration. We offer:

Hospitality Homes ~ Available as missionaries travel in the U.S. as we encourage Christians to share their abundance by making housing available for furloughs and sabbaticals. Equipping the Saints ~ We encourage pastors and Christian leaders to share their knowledge and skills with other pastors and missionaries on the field. Prayer Shield ~ Effective prayer support by over 130 intercessors. We get wonderful praise reports! Regional CARE Locations ~ We offer a safe place to go and caring people to go to for personal ministry with certified and licensed couples at 8 locations around the county. Retreat Center – The Dwelling Place in Cassville , Wisconsin is available for retreats of a few days or for lengthy sabbaticals for missionaries and those in ministry. Resource Links ~ Twenty five pages of information on resources in many needed areas including scholarship resources for MK’s. Seminars ~ On occasion we will send/take someone to a seminar for training or refreshing. Books and CD’s ~ We supply many during the year. Computers ~ As God gives provision we pass them on to meet needs. At ServantCARE, we desire to see the Body of Christ come to maturity in relation to missions, hospitality, servanthood (ministry to others), evangelism, intercessory prayer, and strategic prayer. We are available to teach (equip the saints) in small groups and churches on any of these subjects.

Staff Spotlight: Meet Lorann Burkhardt!

Lorann serves as ServantCARE’s Housing Lead, overseeing our amazing team of Housing Coordinators as they connect Christian workers with places of rest, renewal, and meaningful hospitality.

Born in Vietnam, Lorann immigrated to the United States in 1975 and grew up in Richmond, Virginia. After graduating from Virginia Tech, she worked in corporate, industrial, retail, and hospitality roles—experiences God used to develop her gifts in administration, relationship-building, and hospitality.

Lorann came to know Jesus personally at age 29 and has joyfully served the Kingdom in just about every role she could sign up for! Her love for missionaries grew through ministry trips to Greece, North Carolina, Alaska, and Croatia. While serving with Praying Pelican Missions in Alaska, she worked alongside Jacob Morgan and first learned about ServantCARE.

Lorann and her husband, Lee, live in Maine and have two children, Elijah and Ella. In her free time, she enjoys studying Scripture, spending time at the lake, walking her dog, sewing, and learning new skills.

We are incredibly grateful for Lorann’s faithful leadership, genuine care for others, and heart for those who serve! 💙

Team Spotlight: Meet Aaron and Andrea Taylor

Aaron serves as our Expansion Lead, and Andrea serves as our Host CARE Lead. Together, they bring a deep love for missions, discipleship, hospitality, and family to the ServantCARE team.

Aaron and Andrea met in 2002, married in 2003, and have four children—three boys and one girl. After nearly 10 years of building a career and raising their family in Colorado, God began calling them into a deeper life of surrender and ministry.

In 2013, they sold their home, left Aaron’s career, and moved their family to San Diego to attend a one-year discipleship school. That step of obedience eventually led them to Haiti, where they served as missionaries for 2½ years. While there, they helped launch a discipleship school that graduated 32 Haitian students, hosted short-term mission teams, and served alongside the local Church.

After returning to the U.S., they continued serving in ministry and eventually made another big move to Fort Worth, Texas. Today, both Aaron and Andrea serve with ServantCARE, using their experiences in ministry, missions, and hospitality to CARE for Those Who Serve.

We are so grateful for the Taylors and the way they love people, serve faithfully, and continue saying “yes” to wherever God leads!

For our Hospitality Home Hosts: sometimes the simplest things can make all the difference when we’re serving those who serve in ministry.

A quick response. Keeping your calendar updated. Sharing those little details about your home.

These may seem like small things, but to a ministry family who is tired, traveling, and trying to plan their next steps, they can bring clarity, peace, and a whole lot of encouragement.

Thank you for opening your home and helping us CARE for those who serve. Your hospitality matters more than you may realize.

Here are a few simple reminders to help make every guest’s experience a little smoother.

Team Spotlight: Meet the Directors

Jacob and Anna Morgan have been best friends since middle school, married since 2009, and have served in ministry together since then. Their shared heart for missions, the local Church, and those who serve has taken them around the world. They have been a part of ServantCARE since 2010, and were mentored by the amazing Larry and Anita Parks.

Anna served nearly 10 years with a missions organization before joining ServantCARE full-time in 2023. Jacob has served as a youth pastor, police officer, teacher, basketball coach, and Athletic Director. In the summer of 2026, he also stepped into ServantCARE full-time.

Today, Jacob and Anna have the honor of leading ServantCARE - encouraging pastors and missionaries and helping provide places of rest and hospitality for Christian workers across the world. They also host and minister at The Resting Place, a ServantCARE Retreat Center in southern Alabama.

Their heart is simple: CARING for Those Who Serve.

Together, Jacob and Anna have two sons, Eric and Eli, and they love serving the Lord, traveling, cheering on their framily, and seeing the Gospel reach the nations.

We’re excited for you to get to know the people who make up the ServantCARE team! Stay tuned for more team spotlights.

Hospitality is more than opening a door.

It can look like a clean bedroom.
A quiet place to rest.
A favorite snack and drink waiting for them.
A meal after a long day of travel.
A conversation around the kitchen table.
Or simply a safe place where someone can exhale.

Thank you to each and every host who opened their door. 🎉

As one guest shared:
"We had a wonderful time sitting around (with our hosts) and talking about God and how we have seen him move in our lives. We were able to find peace and rest after our busy ministry schedule."

Our staff and volunteers are spread across the country, so it's always a gift when we get to be together. 💛

This summer, we were thankful for several opportunities to connect—even if only on a small scale. Mr. Larry even got to spend some time at The Dwelling Place in Wisconsin!

There's nothing quite like being together, even if it's only for a little while. We're thankful for every moment together.
