It was so much fun watching Jeremy of Inspyral Circus put on such fantastic show for the kids and families who joined us at the gym for last Wednesday’s performance! And thanks once again to Tanika and the rest of our friends at Eufaula Schools Beacon Program for putting up with our shenanigans!

June’s guests for our FEML Speaker Series, Eyakem Gulilat and Evan Clayburg, left quite the impression! Their explanation and demonstration of the Ethiopian coffee ceremony was just as rich, complex, and interesting as the cups of specialty coffee that they served! The entire lobby smelled like a dang fine cup of coffee for the entire afternoon, long after they had packed up and left!

Many thanks to our Friends group members and our guest speakers for putting together such an awesome experience for us! Be sure you check the schedule for future FEML speakers! We have a new one every month, and each one is provides an opportunity to learn, grow, and enrich both the local (or not-so-local) culture and our understanding of it.

We also had many people participate in our Puzzle Swap last week, which we had extended through this week. And we have more Friday passive programs planned for July, so be sure to check our calendar of events for more info!

Two of the four planned events for next week will unfortunately be canceled. The Dino DND event originally scheduled for Tuesday and the Community Showcase originally scheduled for Friday have both been canceled. If there is sufficient community interest in either of these events, we can make arrangements to reschedule for some time in July. Be sure to reach out and let us know if you were looking forward to these programs and we will do our best to bring them back!
