Some days are hard. Maybe you’re tired, worried, or just not sure you’re doing it right. That’s okay.

Crying doesn’t make you weak. Asking for help doesn’t make you weak. Getting up and trying again, even when you don’t feel like it? That’s strength.

Toddler meltdown in the middle of the store? Been there. 😅 Here’s how to get through it:

1️⃣ Stay calm (or fake it). Take a deep breath. Your calm helps them find theirs.

2️⃣ Get down on their level. Kneel so you’re eye to eye, and talk in a soft, quiet voice.

3️⃣ Name the feeling. “You’re mad because we have to leave. That’s hard.” Little ones feel big things but don’t have the words yet. Helping them name it makes a big difference.

4️⃣ Give two simple choices. “Do you want to walk or ride in the cart?” Choices help them feel some control without giving in.

5️⃣ Wait it out. Sometimes they just need to let it out. Stay close, keep them safe, and let the storm pass.

Tantrums are a normal part of growing up. They don’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. You’re doing a great job, mama. 💛
