Yesterday was Caramel Apple Day across Eudora Schools! 🍎

One of our sweetest traditions is back! Every employee who supports the Eudora Schools Foundation through our I Give for Team Cardinal employee giving campaign earns a homemade caramel apple as a small token of our appreciation.

Yesterday morning, these delicious treats were freshly made and delivered straight to classrooms and offices across the district!

A HUGE thank you to South Baldwin Farms for generously donating the apples and helping make this tradition possible.

And to our incredible Eudora Schools employees who choose to give back to their own students and colleagues—THANK YOU! Your generosity makes a difference, and we hope you enjoyed every sticky, delicious bite!

A RECORD YEAR FOR EUDORA STUDENTS!

What. A. Morning. Today, the Eudora Schools Foundation hit the road for our annual Educator Excellence Grant Prize Patrol, surprising educators across the district with $46,080 in grants to bring 29 incredible projects to life! That makes 2026 the largest single-year Educator Excellence Grant investment in ESF history!

None of this happens without our donors, business partners and community members who continue to invest in Eudora students and educators. YOU made those giant checks possible. ❤️

Congratulations to all of our 2026 Educator Excellence Grant recipients!

Is it Friday yet?! 👀

We are officially counting down to one of our FAVORITE days of the year — Educator Excellence Grant Prize Patrol!

This Friday, we'll be making our way across the district, surprising Eudora educators and celebrating some pretty incredible ideas for our students.

We can't spill the details just yet... 🤐 But we can share a couple throwbacks from last year's Prize Patrol while we (not so patiently) wait.

TWO. MORE. DAYS.

Grill Club is BACK! 🔥🍔

We were pretty excited to kick off another year of Grill Club at Eudora Middle School, and it was only fitting that we started with a Blackstone classic: smash burgers! And they were FANTASTIC.

Nearly 80 middle schoolers got to work grilling their own burgers on TWO Blackstones. Yes, two. For 80 kids. 😂

Grill Club gives students a chance to learn real-world cooking skills, try new things, and have a whole lot of fun along the way. We love seeing this many students excited to jump in and learn by doing!

Hey, Blackstone Products ...judging by these pictures, we think Grill Club might need another grill. 😉🔥

We have some exciting news!

Eudora Schools Foundation has been selected as one of four finalists for United Way of Kaw Valley's 2026 Grant Slam!

We'll be pitching Stability for Success, an initiative designed to help stabilize families when circumstances outside the classroom threaten a child's opportunity to succeed.

Because sometimes the most important intervention we can make for a student doesn't happen in a classroom.

We're incredibly excited for the opportunity to share this work—and the needs of Eudora students and families—with our broader Douglas County community.

We need 20 more mentors!

Cardinals LinkUP Mentoring kicks off in October, and we’re looking for at least 20 more community members to join us this year.

Mentors are paired with Eudora Middle School students and simply provide another positive, supportive adult connection. The program includes one group meeting each month before school, with additional one-on-one meetings encouraged throughout the year.

Last year, LinkUP served 130 EMS students, and we’re excited to get another great year started!

Reality U was back at Eudora Schools last week!

Nearly 250 Eudora 8th and 10th graders participated in this hands-on financial literacy experience, making their way through real-life decisions about housing, transportation, groceries, childcare, insurance and more—all based on their assigned career, income and family situation.

It takes a LOT of people to make Reality U happen. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who gave their time to help students navigate the experience (and occasionally break the news that their budget was not, in fact, going to work).

A huge thank you to The Pando Initiative for bringing Reality U to Eudora, and especially to the 52 community volunteers who gave their time to make the day possible. We are so grateful for a community that continues to show up for our students.
