WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
Part 3 of 3

Our intervention at St. John United Methodist Church is just one example of how we strive to follow Jesusโ€™s problem-solving example. Itโ€™s not about drawing attention to ourselves, but about illuminating the transformative impact that focused, compassionate action can have.

We warmly invite you to explore the wider scope of our work and the many "problem-solving" initiatives we are currently engaged in. Your support is crucial to extending our reach. Whether you are an individual seeking to volunteer your time, a church community looking for partnership opportunities, or someone able to contribute financially, your involvement empowers us to continue sharing the love of Jesus through practical assistance to our neighbors in Harrisburg and beyond. Please visit our website at LiberiaFarmerTo Farmer. org, to learn more about how you can join us in this vital mission.

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
Part 2 of 3

This very spirit of proactive problem-solving guides the work of the Liberia Farmer to Farmer Ministry in Harrisburg. Our leaders are dedicated to identifying and addressing the tangible challenges facing that community, believing that faith is most powerfully demonstrated through practical acts of service. We often encounter fundamental needs that, when met, significantly improve the quality of life and restore dignity.

A recent, impactful project illustrates this core principle. We became aware of a challenging situation at the local St. John United Methodist Church, where the absence of proper bathroom facilities presented a significant obstacle for attendees. Parishioners were compelled to find inconvenient or undignified alternatives, which understandably impacted their comfort and ability to fully participate in worship and community life. Our ministry recognized this not just as a facilities issue, but as a critical opportunity to uphold human dignity and make a tangible difference in the lives of congregants.

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
Part 1 of 3

Our ministry, Liberia Farmer to Farmer, is profoundly inspired by the transformative example of Jesus Christ, who consistently demonstrated a powerful commitment to solving real-world problems and leaving every situation better than He found it. Throughout His earthly ministry, as recorded in scripture, Jesus brought practical solutions and healing to those in need. Think of the woman who, after twelve long years of suffering, found complete restoration simply by reaching out to touch His garment. Or consider blind Bartimaeus, whose sight was miraculously recovered through a direct encounter with a man he recognized as the Messiah. In countless instances, Jesus embodied a practical, compassionate approach to human suffering and need.

Stay Tuned for part 2.

We are trying to give God's best to the strangers we meet on the mission field in Harrisburg, Liberia. So, when students had to walk two and a half hours each way daily to get a high school education, we built a high school in the Community.
When the people in the community are suffering from food insecurity, we developed a program to teach sustainable agriculture as a way of life using reconditioned farm equipment donated by farmers in our East Ohio Conference. We believe in teaching others to fish, instead of giving them a fish. We put in a library, a science laboratory, a computer lab, and a campus water system. Our facility is conducive to learning, a first in the region.
