Some people can walk away without looking back. Thankfully, dogs like Ashley still have the heart to love.

Ashley’s story began with an employee at a nearby business witnessing something heartbreaking. Someone threw Ashley out of a vehicle and drove away. As if that wasn't cruel enough, the person was smiling as they drove by.

Unfortunately, we were never able to identify who abandoned her. But, we are searching for the person who will never leave her behind again. ❤️

Ashley is estimated to be 5–6 years old, and despite everything, she is such a good girl. She LOVE her toys, walks beautifully on a leash, and has so much love to give.

🐾 We are unsure how she does with other dogs but ALWAYS open to a meet and greet

🐾 We recommend children over 8–10 years old.

🐾 A fenced-in yard would be wonderful for her.

Ashley didn't deserve the way her last chapter ended, but we have the chance to make sure her next one is everything she deserves.

Someone made the choice to throw her away. We hope someone else makes the choice to love her for the rest of her life. 🥹❤️

Meet Velma — our shy little queen of butt wiggles!

Velma is a 3–4 year old Shar Pei mix who came to us after a Good Samaritan found her running at large. She was terrified, and we soon discovered she had severe entropion, a painful eye condition that made it difficult for her to see.

After surgery to correct her eyes, we've gotten to see a whole new Velma! And let us tell you, this girl is HILARIOUS! 😂 Between her ridiculous zoomies, goofy personality, and the best butt wiggles you've ever seen, she keeps us laughing.

Velma is still learning that the world isn't so scary. We suspect she spent much of her life confined to a crate, and she's nervous around cars, being outside, and meeting new people. But give her a little patience (and plenty of treats 😉), and once she realizes you're not going to hurt her, you've got a best friend for life.

Her ideal home would be quiet and laid-back with a fenced-in yard and someone willing to let her blossom at her own pace. Due to her shyness, we don't recommend young children.

💔 Sadly, Velma hasn't had a single bit of interest.

She may not be the dog who runs right up to greet you, but underneath that shy exterior is one of the funniest, sweetest little personalities just waiting to shine.

💕 Bella has had plenty of homes. What she needs now is one that stays.

Bella is about 4 years old and came to us a few months ago when her family could no longer could keep her after only having her a few months. As we pieced together her past, we learned she’s been passed between several homes and, at one point, lived outside.

Sadly, Bella is heartworm positive. Her treatment has begun, but recovery will take time—and after months in the shelter, we would love to find her a calm foster home to heal in.

Bella LOVES people, and absolutely loves her toys. She’s generally quiet and keeps her kennel clean. She likes to sun bath, and she walks pretty well on a leash. During treatment, she needs short, leashed walks and a quiet routine to keep her calm.

She has shown positive interest in other dogs, but we haven’t formally introduced her to any yet. She previously lived with cats and reportedly did okay, though she sometimes wanted to play more than they did.

Bella has been moved around enough. Let’s give her somewhere to rest, recover, and feel wanted. Message Euclid Pet Pals if you can open your home to this sweet girl. 🐾

🐾 TRAILS & TAILS! 🍂🐕

Lakeland Animal Clinic were kind enough to include Euclid Animal Shelter in their upcoming Trails & Tails event, and we're excited to be part of the fun!

Grab your walking shoes, a leash, and your four-legged bestie for a morning of fresh air, exercise, and wagging tails!

Don't have a dog? NO PROBLEM! We happen to have a whole kennel full of dogs who would LOVE an excuse to get out for the morning! Must be willing to pick up a pup to and from the shelter though❤️🐾

Apparently Princess Roxanne is just a baby..😂

Roxanne is about 4 years old and has somehow spent months with us without a single bit of interest. Since we’re completely full, she’s moved into our office—and honestly, she thinks this arrangement is permanent.

What we’ve learned? Roxanne is a professional couch potato. She’s housebroken, quiet, loves her stuffies, requires morning belly rubs, and getting her out of bed usually involves negotiations…or food. Eggs and sausage preferred. 😂

She enjoys casual walks, sunbathing, back scratches in the grass and occasionally remembers she’s a dog and plays.

She can live with the right laid-back dog and would prefer older kids over little ones. She’s a little wary at first, but once you’re in, “you’re officially Princess Roxanne’s staff”

She really is one of the easiest dogs.

Now we just need someone to tell her she has to move out of our office and onto “their couch.”😂❤️

He deserved better before he came to us. ❤️

Fred is sweet old man is estimated to be around 12–14 years old, and he is surrendered to us.

We were told he was a sickly dog. But after having him examined, his bloodwork and his body are telling us otherwise. Aside from mildly elevated liver values and some arthritis, his bloodwork is surprisingly great for a dog his age. A little thank you to Dr. Jamie at Richman Animal Clinic for getting us seen today.

And despite everything, he is the sweetest soul.
He doesn’t need much—just a quiet home, a soft bed, some patience while he decompresses, and someone willing to show him that being old doesn’t mean being unwanted. We aren’t sure how he is with other dogs or cats at this time.

We are looking for a foster or potential foster-to-adopt home where he can finally rest with love.

We are looking to see if anyone recognizes this dog. It is an older female, and she is the sweetest that can be. She was dumped today and we are looking for more information.
