On July 24, 2025, Euclid Police responded to a volatile situation involving a 17-year-old male who brandished a firearm and made threats during a fight among multiple individuals then drove off in a vehicle which was later stopped by police.

Officer Puszakowski and his K9 partner Chinook were called to assist—and Chinook delivered in a big way. Certified in firearm detection, Chinook quickly zeroed in on a suspicious bag tucked beneath the driver’s seat of the suspect’s vehicle. Inside? An AR pistol—a dangerous weapon now safely off the streets thanks to Chinook’s sharp nose and training.

This marks Chinook’s first official gun seizure, and we couldn’t be prouder of this four-legged officer. đŸ¶đŸ’Ș Chinook poses proudly with the seized weapon—clearly aware he’s earned his badge in a big way. 👏 Let’s give Chinook a round of applause for a job well done! Here’s to many more successful finds and keeping our community safe.

In Loving Memory: Auxiliary Officer Denny Brown. It is with heartfelt sorrow that the Euclid Police Department shares the passing of Auxiliary Officer Denny Brown, a beloved member of our law enforcement family since 2016.

Denny’s kindness, generosity, and steady presence made a lasting impact — not just on his fellow officers, but on the many community members he served with care and dedication. He was a proud supporter of Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs, sharing his love of the outdoors while helping guide young people toward safe and positive choices.

He never missed the annual fish fry, always arriving with a warm smile and a helping hand. And if there was room on the boat — and there always was — Denny welcomed every officer aboard Brownie for a peaceful fishing trip and genuine conversation.

We are grateful for the time we had with him and the quiet generosity he gave in all he did. Denny will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered.

Fair winds, Auxiliary Officer Brown. 🎣💙 You’ve cast your last line, but the ripples of your friendship and service remain.

The men and women of the Euclid Police Department stand shoulder to shoulder with our brothers and sisters in the Lorain Police Department during this deeply difficult time. In moments like these, we are reminded of the strength of the law enforcement family. While each department may wear different patches, we are united in purpose, in service, and in sacrifice. Euclid PD offers unwavering support and honor those who protect and serve with courage, and we remain committed to standing together—today and always.

The Euclid Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 18 stands in unwavering solidarity with our brothers and sisters of the Lorain Police Department, where three brave heroes were ambushed and shot in the line of duty — a targeted, cowardly attack on those who serve and protect.

This disgraceful act of violence, fueled by a dangerous culture that no longer respects law enforcement, is unacceptable and should never be tolerated. Ambushing police officers is not “resistance.” It is not “protest.” It is attempted murder and the ultimate act of cowardice.

We stand with the Lorain Police Department and every officer who continues to wear the badge to protect and serve, despite the hatred and danger.

We ask our community to join us in praying for these officers, their families, and the LPD.
