The Association of Leadership Educators (ALE) is an organization of educators who teach leadership in If so, the Association of Leadership Educators is for you!

Are you an individual who seeks to develop or improve the knowledge and practice of others by providing high quality leadership education informed by credible leadership literature and practice? Our members include leadership educators who are:
• faculty in higher education,
• community educators,
• leadership studies students,
• consultants and coaches,
• student affairs professionals,
• leadership training officers, and
• others who identify as leadership educators.

📢 Journal of Leadership Education (JOLE) Updates
The Journal of Leadership Education—official journal of the Association of Leadership Educators—has several exciting updates to share with our community:

🔹 Editorial Advisory Board Applications Open
JOLE is accepting applications to join its Editorial Advisory Board as a current member rolls off due to term limits. Learn more about the role and how to apply—applications close Friday, May 8, 2026.

🔹 Updated Manuscript Types
JOLE has simplified its submission categories into three clear manuscript types:
• Research Manuscripts
• Practitioner Manuscripts
• Viewpoint Manuscripts
These changes are already live in the submission portal. Manuscript types being phased out will still be accepted through April 30, 2026.

🔹 Enhanced Website Resources
The JOLE webpage on the ALE website has been significantly expanded, offering detailed guidance for authors seeking publication and reviewers conducting constructive, rigorous reviews.
