Ever shared your faith and gotten shut down? Rejection stings — but here's the truth: it's usually not about you. When people push back on the gospel, they're not rejecting you, they're wrestling with God (1 Samuel 8:4-7).

So why keep speaking anyway? Because of what's actually at stake. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

There's a real battle happening - not against people, but for people (Ephesians 6:12). Satan wants to ruin everything you hold close. Jesus wants to give you a full life. Every word you speak moves someone a little closer to one or the other.
Don't make it personal. Don't stay quiet. Remember what's at stake — and keep speaking.

Last Wednesday, we picked back up in 1 Samuel and asked a simple question: what's taken the place of God in your life?

Idols aren't just ancient artifacts or golden statues. They're your feed, your follower count, the algorithm, your social status... to name a few.

Samuel's call to the people of Israel is still the call today: rid and commit. Put it down. Give God everything.

There is a difference between knowing about God and actually knowing Him. Samuel learned that the hard way - hearing a voice in the dark and not even recognizing who it was.

On Wednesday, we talked about what it really looks like to know God personally. To recognize His voice. To listen, not just talk. And to trust that He gets to set the standard, even when it is hard to hear.
