Overhill JAM Summer Session registration is now open.

If your child has been wanting to learn traditional Appalachian music, this is a great opportunity to get started. Students can learn banjo, fiddle, guitar, or mandolin in a fun, supportive environment. No experience is necessary, and instruments are provided.

Sign-ups for our Summer Session open May 8th.

Give your child the opportunity to learn traditional Appalachian music in a fun, supportive environment. Students can learn banjo, fiddle, guitar, or mandolin. No experience is necessary, and loaner instruments are provided.

Classes run June 11th through July 16th and will be held Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at the Depot. Open to 3rd-8th graders in McMinn and Polk counties.

The cost is $35 for the 6-week session. Discounted fees and full scholarships are available.

🎶 Support Overhill JAM — Keep Appalachian Music Alive 🎶

Overhill JAM is a youth music program dedicated to teaching traditional Appalachian music to the next generation. Through weekly classes, students learn instruments, musical traditions, and the rich cultural heritage of our region — all in a welcoming, hands-on environment.

We believe there should never be a financial barrier to learning music. That’s why partial and full scholarships are available, ensuring every child who wants to learn has the opportunity to participate.

💛 How You Can Help:
A donation of $150 helps cover tuition and the cost of an instrument for one child, opening the door to a lifelong connection with music and heritage. A donation of $50 covers tuition for one child, and a $100 covers the cost of an instrument. All donations appreciated!
