Rancho Cucamonga's annual Spooktacular returns on Saturday, October 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at RC Sports Center (8303 Rochester Avenue).

Bring the whole family for an evening of Halloween fun featuring carnival games, a fun zone, and a festive trunk-or-treat experience. Costumes are encouraged, so start planning your favorite spooky or silly look!

On Thursday July 30, the Robert E. Ellingwood Model Colony History Room at the Ontario City Library is hosting the program, "A History of the LA County Fair."

David Castro and Andrew Kopp of Cal Poly Pomona will take you through the history of the fair with examples of historical photos and memorabilia from the Fairplex Records collection at Cal Poly Pomona’s Special Collections and Archives. You’ll also see some of the historical local fair memorabilia from the Robert E. Ellingwood Model Colony History Room. This is a section of an early photo of the LA County Fair that is in the Model Colony History Room's photograph collection. PLANT SALE

Spring has Sprung and the Etiwanda Historical Society is sharing its bounty. We are hosting a Plant Sale on Saturday, April 18 from 9am -4pm. Find costs 50% below big box store and local nursery prices !! Varieties include iris, succulents, senna, salvia, daylilies, lavender, penstemon,
trees, emu bush, and fortnight lilies in 4 inch, 1,2,and 5 gallon sizes.

After shopping, tour George Chaffey's restored 1874 home, site of the first electric light in Southern California. This living history museum displays many Chaffey family heirlooms including recently acquired Chaffey china. Tours are $5. The House will be open during the Plant Sale.
