I spend a good deal of time working at the museum. That being said there is a lot going on here I have nothing to do with.

For instance, I never have to worry about the lawn, Don and Chuck simply do it. No drama, it just gets done.

Likewise for the flowers and outdoor plants. Kitty and Rose have it covered. Again. No drama, they simply show up and do it.

This morning I pulled up at 8 to find Rose weeding the Hostas. Stopping back at 10:30 I found her 3/4 done.

We’ve hit an exciting milestone! 1,800 followers on our page! Can you believe only 3 years ago that this page was barren? We couldn’t have accomplished everything we have in the last few years without the support of the community and the dedication of our amazing board members and museum volunteers!

Now showing at the Museum’s Grand Theater. The Ft. Defiance Story- The fast ride downhill(and the longer walk uphill). The best thrill ride in a 3 state area back in the late 30’s . Five thousand out of county people showed up one Sunday just to see it! The locals had sense enough to stay away on busy days! Concession stand and lights for night cruising- 80 mph on a good run. The run was just east of the shelter house. Come check out Harold Sorensen’s video in our theater!

Saturdays rootbeer float open house is in the books. It was great! A wonderful turn out of wonderful people. Older people, younger people, children.

Sue made a deal for a keg of rootbeer. A great idea.

I should have taken pictures of the crowd but once we got rolling I simply was to involved to think to take the camera out.

A big thank you to all our volunteers and all who came.

As big a day as yesterday was, if last year's event holds true, today, Sundays event, will be even bigger, hope to see you there. Noon til Four.
