Come and join us on Friday evening, March 13, at the historic MacDonald Book Shop where we will host a unique literary event celebrating the “Grandfather of Fantasy,” George MacDonald. Walking Together Press, based in Estes Park, will present an exclusive showcase of their new, limited-edition, illustrated volumes of The Princess and the Goblin and The Princess and Curdie.

“George MacDonald’s stories belong to be read aloud by the hearth,” says Thaine Norris, Publisher at Walking Together Press. “To bring these beautiful editions to a book shop that shares his name, nestled in the very terrain he described, feels like a homecoming for Princess Irene and Curdie.”

Good News from Nigeria!

It seems that all the news coming out of Nigeria is bad news. While there are many bad things happening there, it is the nature of the news to focus on the sensational. As G. K. Chesterton said, "It is the one great weakness of journalism as a picture of our modern existence, that it must be a picture made up entirely of exceptions. We announce on flaring posters that a man has fallen off a scaffolding. We do not announce on flaring posters that a man has not fallen off a scaffolding."

The Jenta Reads Community Library is a grassroots effort to of their community. Through books and tangible community involvement, Jenta Reads has lifted the gaze of hundreds to see new possibilities, successfully changing the narrative. Now it's a story of hope, not merely survival.

Walking Together Press has the glorious privilege to work alongside Jenta Reads in bringing books to schools and other communities that have previously had no books. The first sets of the Jenta Reads Essential Library project—100 different titles—will be delivered in early August!

This compelling story, and so much more, is told in the new book, Motion: A Jenta Story, now available worldwide.
