In just a few weeks, we’ll be traveling to Uganda to spend time with our friends at Kabagambe Childcare Foundation! 🇺🇬🌻

This year, our mission is all about building skills and creating opportunities. We’ll be training the kids and adults at KCF in woodworking and teaching them how to build school desks like these—with the hope that they can continue making and selling desks to local schools long after our team returns home.

We’re grateful to be partnering with Kingdom Overflow Ministries for this project. Today, their team built our first prototype right here in North Carolina! 🪚🔨

Seeing the desk go from an idea on paper to something we can actually build makes us even more excited for what’s ahead.

Three weeks to Uganda. One new skill. And, we pray, an opportunity that will continue to grow for years to come. 💛

Our next mission trip to Uganda is less than a month away, and we couldn't be more excited!

Last year, we took a team to Uganda to teach the children and adults at Kabagambe Childcare Foundation how to start and operate a bakery business. Today, that bakery is still serving their community—providing income, creating opportunity, and opening doors to share the love and hope of Christ with their neighbors.

This year, we're taking the next step.

In partnership with Kingdom Overflow Ministries, our team will teach woodworking and carpentry skills with a focus on building durable school desks. Our goal isn't simply to make desks while we're there—it's to equip the children and adults at Kabagambe Childcare Foundation with practical, marketable skills so they can continue building and selling desks to local schools long after our team has returned home. We believe sustainable businesses create lasting change, providing both economic opportunity and a platform to share the Gospel.

Would you join us?

Most importantly, we would be grateful for your prayers as our team prepares and travels. If you'd like to help make this mission possible, we're also looking for financial partners. You can support the trip by purchasing needed supplies through our Amazon wishlist, donating through our Zeffy page, or sending us a message to learn about other giving options, including Zelle or check.

🍞 Welcome to EJK Kindred Bakery 🍞

Part of our model for a self-sufficient lifestyle at Kabagambe childcare foundation includes investing in businesses that can generate income for the home.

The bakery is one of those dreams that is now a reality. Beyond an additional source of food and income for the home, the bakery also provides practical job skills that can translate to future careers, and it’s a vital link to the community—where relationships are strengthened and the gospel of Christ is shared.
