And then…. There were 3 ✨🐾

Chorizo & Wasabi were adopted together over the weekend, leaving us with just 3 female kittens left who are eagerly looking for their furever families 🐱💗

🌴 Fiji
🌺 Bali
🥒 Pickles

🐾 A few things to note:
Fiji and Bali came into our rescue together and have officially become two of our longest-waiting kittens. Because of that, their adoption fees have been reduced to just $100 each!
They are currently fostered separately, but we think they could make a wonderful pair if someone wanted to adopt them together ❤️
This is absolutely not a requirement, we are more than happy to find them each the perfect home separately!

Pickles does have what’s called, pectus excavatum, meaning her breastbone is indented. This is a genetic defect. At this point, it isn’t affecting her, she’s a happy, active, normal kitten and may very well continue to live a completely normal life. We just want her future family to be aware and love her exactly as she is 💗
We are more than happy to answer any questions surrounding this.

💜 Adoption fee for Pickles is $150
💜 Adoption fee for Fiji and Bali is $100 each

They are fixed, microchipped, and have their first vaccines.

All five are still young kittens with so much love to give.

Behind the scenes of rescue 🎬✨🧼🧹

When we’re not doing intakes, running to and from the vet, or playing with our furry friends, we’re usually doing lots and LOTS of cleaning.

Here is a glimpse of what our Sunday has entailed (still not done yet). Cleaning lots of kennels and litter boxes!
Within a rescue, it’s so important to continuously clean and disinfect everything to prevent the spread of illness and disease.

We do our very best to keep everyone happy and healthy!! 💗🐾

Somehow, these five cuties are STILL available:
🌴 Fiji
🌺 Bali
🌶️ Chorizo - ADOPTED

Happy to share the following kitties have been ADOPTED!!! 💜🐾

We love to be part of their journeys and while letting them go may be bittersweet, we know they end up in very loving homes getting all the love and attention they deserve.

🐾 We could really use our community right now 🐾

We don’t love making posts like this, but transparency has always been important to us, and the reality is, this past month has hit us hard financially.

💩 First came the p**p. So. Much. P**p.

A couple of kittens in our care brought along a particularly nasty case of diarrhea. Thankfully, everyone is finally cleared up and doing well! But we’re still going through the not-so-glamorous part of rescue: disinfecting EVERYTHING.

We use a high-quality, veterinary-grade disinfectant to keep everyone safe, and when you’re using it daily, the cost adds up quickly.

🐱 Then came Boots.

Boots is a kitty we previously adopted out to one of our fosters. When there was concern he had ingested something and his adopter was facing financial difficulties, we agreed to help get him the emergency care he needed.

We quickly learned Boots did have material lodged in his intestines. Thankfully, the amazing team at Guardian Veterinary Care was able to remove it that same day, and Boots is doing great! 💙🐾

His adopter also learned an important lesson: some cats will eat fake plants.
While they may not be poisonous, they can still cause a very real, and very expensive, emergency.

Boots’ procedure alone cost us just over $1,500.

But we also have some REALLY good news to share…

🎉 CHANCE GETS TO KEEP HER LEG!!! 🎉

Chance came to us with a severely degloved tail and a broken back leg. Her tail had to be amputated, with one of our biggest concerns being whether she would retain normal re**al function afterward. Thankfully, she has recovered beautifully with no loss of function 💗

Her broken leg initially looked like it might require amputation too, but we gave her body time to heal after her first surgery, and somehow, that little leg healed!

No leg amputation. No additional major surgery. She gets to keep all four paws! 🥹 She still needs to be spayed, but that feels pretty small compared with everything she’s already overcome.

So while we’ve had some wonderful outcomes, the financial reality behind them is a little harder.

In roughly one month, we’ve renewed our rescue insurance, taken on Chance’s medical care, battled diarrhea and the mountain of cleaning that came with it, paid for Boots’ unexpected emergency procedure, all while continuing to care for the other 24 cats currently relying on us.

And somewhere along the way… we found ourselves in a hole.

So, here we are asking for help… ❤️‍🩹

We don’t have a huge funding source behind us. Donations from people in our community are what allow us to keep doing this and keep saying “yes” when an animal needs us.

🐾 BALI & FIJI ARE STILL WAITING FOR THEIR HOMES! 🐾

Somehow, these two sweet girls have officially become the longest-waiting kittens currently in our care, and we would really, really love to change that 🥺💕

We’ve done it before, and we’re ready to do it again…

✨ We’re reducing Bali & Fiji’s adoption fees to just $100 EACH! ✨

Both girls are right around 5 months old, which means they are still very much kittens with plenty of growing, playing, and loving left to do!

💕 Bali ~ Female, Fostered in Gresham
💕 Fiji ~ Female, Fostered in Oregon City

Although they’re sisters, they are currently fostered separately and do NOT need to be adopted together. We would be thrilled to find them each their own family.. Or, of course, if someone happens to fall in love with BOTH, we certainly wouldn’t complain 😉
We can arrange meet & greets at either foster location!

Both girls:
🐾 Do well with other cats
🐾 Do well with dogs
🐾 Are spayed
🐾 Are microchipped
🐾 Have received their vaccines (will still need rabies vaccines soon)
🐾 Are only $100 to adopt!

Somehow, these 8 adorable babies are still waiting for their forever families! 🥹🏡

They’re growing up right before our eyes, and while we absolutely love watching their little personalities develop, we’d much rather watch them do it from the comfort of their forever homes ❤️

✨ Fiji ~ Female, 5 months old
✨ Bali ~ Female, 5 months old
✨ Pickles ~ Female, 4 months old
✨ TJ ~ Female, 4 months old
✨ Patches ~ Female, 4 months old
✨ Chorizo ~ Male, 3½ months old
✨ Wasabi ~ Female, 3½ months old
✨ Panther ~ Male, 3½ months old

Don’t let those ages fool you, these are still very much kittens! They have plenty of growing, playing, cuddling, and mischief ahead of them. 🐱💕

We would LOVE to see some of these babies find their people. And if you’re considering adding two kittens to your family… even better! 😉 Having a built-in best friend means double the entertainment, double the snuggles, and someone to keep them company when their humans are away.

🐾 CHANCE UPDATE — SHE’S DOING SO WELL! 🐾

We have another wonderful update to share about our sweet Chance 💗

Chance did incredibly well over the weekend during her stay with the vet. They very kindly kept us updated throughout her stay with photos and videos, and they even shared that they witnessed her p**p again! 🎉

For most cats, that probably wouldn’t be an update worth celebrating quite this much… but for Chance, it’s HUGE. After everything her little body has endured, every sign that things are functioning the way we’ve been desperately hoping they would feels like another victory.

She continues to do so well, and we truly couldn’t be happier with the progress she’s making 🥹❤️

Her road to recovery isn’t over just yet, but if things continue moving in the right direction, we anticipate that Chance may be ready to transition into a foster home sometime this week! Getting her out of the hospital and into a comfortable home environment will be another enormous step forward.

We still have the last couple of veterinary bills to settle from her care and tail amputation procedure, so we’re not quite across the finish line financially. The support this little girl has received so far has been absolutely incredible, and we cannot adequately express how grateful we are to everyone who has donated, shared her story, commented, or simply rooted for her along the way.
