Cub Scout Pack 3113, Essexville, Michigan

The Cub Scouts of Pack 3113 had a fun day enjoying Michigan’s free fishing weekend. We had 5 families out enjoying the beautiful weather and the fishing. We even caught a few!! Afterward, we got to celebrate the birthday of one of our Scouts with a pool party. It was a great day spent with good friends doing Cub Scout things.

📊 New Eagle Scout Study Released

Scouting America has released a major new research study:
“Eagle Scouts: A Legacy of Values-Based Leadership and Service.”

Conducted by The Harris Poll, the study examined the long-term impact of Scouting and the Eagle Scout experience on leadership, service, character, well-being, and civic engagement.

Among the findings:
⭐ 99% of Eagle Scouts say Scouting had a positive influence on their lives
⭐ Eagle Scouts report higher levels of leadership, purpose, gratitude, and community involvement
⭐ Non-Scouts overwhelmingly recognize the positive impact Scouting has on youth and society

The study also found Eagle Scouts are more likely to:
✔ Volunteer and lead in their communities
✔ Value honesty, responsibility, and service
✔ Maintain strong family and community relationships
✔ Spend time outdoors and practice environmental stewardship
✔ Live by the values found in the Scout Oath and Law

Pack 3113 is heading to Smith Park for Free Fishing Weekend, and we want you to join us.

Date: Saturday, June 13th
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Smith Park in Essexville

No fishing license is needed this weekend, so just bring your enthusiasm! Our Scouts and Leaders will be there to cast lines, hang out, and answer any questions you have about joining our Pack.

To all the amazing moms, grandmas, and mother‑figures in our Scout family—thank you for everything you do! From helping with campouts and sewing on patches to cheering us on at the Pinewood Derby, you truly are the heart of our Pack. Your support shows our Scouts every day what it means to be helpful, kind, and brave.

Cub Scout Pack 3113 had the opportunity to meet with Essexville Mayor Scott Wittbrodt at our meeting this evening. The Scouts had a lot of questions for the Mayor and learned a lot about city government and what being the mayor of Essexville is like. Thank you Mayor for coming to spend your evening with us!!
