Lakeside School at Black Kettle Farm

09/18/2026

We’re so grateful to Tim Rowland for taking the time to learn more about Lakeside, our childcare and early childhood programs, and some of the challenges local families are facing. Thank you for listening, asking thoughtful questions, and helping us tell our story. We really appreciate you shining a light on this important issue and the work happening here at Lakeside! 🌳

ESSEX | Jobs and housing are the trendy issues that dominate today's Adirondack headlines, but both are dependent on a foundation that receives far less attention: daycare.

We are thrilled to share that Lakeside School at Black Kettle Farm has been awarded a grant from the Essex Community Fund at Adirondack Community Foundation for our project, "Investing in Teachers to Support Children and Families in Essex."

This generous grant, awarded in memory of Nick and Carol Muller, will help us continue supporting our dedicated teachers as they provide high-quality, nature-based early childhood education for local children and families.

We are deeply grateful to the Essex Community Fund and to the legacy of Nick and Carol Muller for investing in our educators, our children, and the future of our community. Essex is a better place to live because of the dedicated work the Essex Community Fund does to support the needs of Essex residents.

Thank you for believing in the important work happening at Lakeside School. Together, we are helping children, families, and teachers thrive, right here, at home. 💚
