Essex Junction Lions Club The Essex Junction Lions Club is a civic organization of volunteers serving the Essex Junction area.

Here are some of the activities that the Essex Junction Lions take part in each year:

Projects Related to Sight and Hearing
Collect and recycle eyeglasses
Provide exam and eyeglasses to the needy
Provide hearing aids to the needy
"Eddie Eyeglass" school program -- Children awareness for eye care
Scholarships to the Austine Camp for hearing impaired
Fidelco guide-dog program

to Diabetes
Diabetes screening
Tour de Cure checkpoint station
Diabetes related kidney dialysis support/transportation
Children's party to assimilate local diabetic children

Community Needs and Awareness Projects
College scholarships to "most improved" college-bound students - 2 @ $1000 each. Memorial Day Parade sponsor
Memorial Day Veterans wreaths and ceremony participation
Veterans Park at 5-Corners improvement project
Sponsor Boy Scouts of America troop
Community Service Day -- Spring cleaning at Steven's Park
Christmas party for mentally handicapped
Sponsor Christmas gifts for needy children
Sponsor International Peace Poster contest in local schools

Lion Rick Po***ck of the Champlain Valley Lions presented a Vermont Lions Charities donation to the Shelburne Food Bank…one of three area food pantries the club gives ongoing assistance. Fighting food insecurity is a key Lions mission, both here in Vermont and globally.

Essex Area Senior Center Grand Reopening!

Come see what's new and discover all the exciting programs and opportunities we have to offer. From 11:30 AM–12:30 PM, explore our programs, meet staff and volunteers, and learn about upcoming activities.

Then stick around for live music from 12:30 PM–2:00 PM. We will have food and giveaways available starting at 11:30am while supplies last!
