The Post hosted a Calcutta - been quite a while since we did this and it was very successful. To those who prepared that great roast pork dinner and those who served and helped, we would not be as successful as we are without your help. Thank you all.

Today is POW-MIA Day when all Veterans remember our prisoners of war and those missing in action. Veterans will always remember that we "leave no comrade behind" and will strive to bring them all home. Please take a moment to remember these Veterans and their families who never forget their loved ones and pray for their return and comfort to their families.

Yesterday we hosted a reception for the family and friends of Mike LeClair, a great friend of 6689 and a close personal friend of mine. He was a Navy Vet and always attended our Ceremony on 11 November. He and Diane were there for our Fish Dinners and Wing Night and usually seated with Pegg and I. He was a friend to all who knew him and will be missed by all of us.

Our Labor Day BBQ was successful. The food was excellent, Kudos to our great staff for cooking and serving the food. Already looking forward to the next one.
