Last month, Scout Pack 635 Arrow of Light Den 8 came to the McClure Miller Respite House to retire an old American flag we had there and replace it with a new one. They conducted a ceremony to honor the flag, and later they disposed of it respectfully. "Having Cub Scouts partake in a flag ceremony teaches them the values of citizenship in a hands-on way," says Adam Stein, Cubmaster Pack 635.

Wednesday the AOLs were at Bespoke at the Five Corners earning their Cycling Adventure. Rowan their tech was excellent with the Scouts. Make sure you stop in to their store at 12 Main St, Essex Junction. Tell them that the AOLs sent ya!!

Monday the AOLs were at McClure-Miller Respite House conducting a flag retirement ceremony for their flag that needed to be replaced. They earned their citizenship adventure.

Quick note about fundraising, our pack has an ongoing fundraiser year round. It requires very little work, no sign ups and no time commitment. That’s right year round and little work!! Just bring your returnable bottle and cans to Essex beverage. Drop them off in our Pack’s marked black can and walk away. We get 100% of the returns. We will see approximately $120 per month. Tell your family and friends to bring their returns to Essex beverage. So easy and appreciated by our pack. These funds allow the Pack to cover or off set special adventures and programs for all of our Cub Scouts. Our friends at Essex Beverage have always continued to support the Scouting program by allowing us to sell popcorn and the BSA selling Christmas trees. And of course thank you for participating!!

AOLs, Webelos and Bears had a tour at Burlington Airport. A great visit and learned a lot about the airport. Great job AOL Den Leader!
