Española Valley Fiesta Since 1933, the Fiesta del Valle de Española, is the largest annual community event for the Valley celebrating our proud history and cultural traditions!

La Fiesta del Valle de Española por Don Juan de Oñate, or more commonly known as the Española Valley Fiestas was established in 1933 to celebrate the historical arrival of Don Juan de Oñate to the beautiful Española Valley. Since then, the Fiestas have become an integral part of the culture and history behind the place simply called, the Valley. Taking place the second weekend of July and held at

the Española Plaza Park. Festivities include grandstand entertainment from Northern New Mexico musical artists, carnival rides for the kids, the largest annual dance in the Española Valley -the Gran Baile, great food and gifts for the familia, and an outstanding grand parade to close up the festivities for the weekend. The people of the Española Valley are proud to celebrate their culture and heritage and invite you to partake in our annual fiestas!
