Join us for a hands-on Doula Hub gathering designed to strengthen your confidence and expand your labor-support skills. There is a free event for birthworkers in our communities.

• Understanding Basic Fetal Monitoring: Learn what doulas can observe, how to support informed communication, and where clinical interpretation falls outside the doula’s scope of practice.

• Advanced Comfort Measures for Labor: Practice effective techniques to ease discomfort, encourage movement and relaxation, and provide grounded, compassionate support throughout labor.

Juanita Nelson, LM, RM, CPM, is passionate about teaching the childbearing journey from pre-conception through postpartum, including the use of herbs throughout pregnancy, birth, and childhood. She has taught childbirth classes for many years and mentored midwives in the U.S. and Mexico.

New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force is looking for parents who might want to share about their experience.

Are you a parent, or do you know a parent, who has an experience accessing lactation care inside and outside of the hospital and clinic setting? Are you interested in sharing what was helpful for you with folks who work in lactation care? You might be a great fit for a panel session they we are planning for 2026 Hospital + Clinic Summit in Santa Fe on October 1st!

Anonymous surveys are available on community-based doula care, menopause care, IVF and fertility care, and adolescent contraception awareness. Each survey takes about 5 minutes.
