After 14 years of exemplary service, Anna Marie Garcia, Vice President of Early Childhood Education at the LANL Foundation, will retire at the end of 2024. Her career has been a shining example of dedication, vision, and impact, improving the lives of young children, families, and communities across Northern New Mexico.

Since joining the Foundation in 2010, Anna Marie has been a guiding force behind transformative advancements in early childhood education, including championing New Mexico’s statewide home visiting initiatives like the First Born and More model. Her leadership has created inclusive spaces where all children can grow and thrive, leaving an indelible mark on the field.

As Anna Marie steps into retirement, she leaves the program in the capable hands of Jovanna Archuleta, who will assume the role of Early Childhood Education Director in January 2025. Jovanna is dedicated to building on Anna Marie’s remarkable legacy.

Please join us in congratulating Anna Marie Garcia on her well-deserved retirement and in celebrating her incredible contributions to our community. A celebration to honor her legacy is planned for early spring—stay tuned for details!

Thank you, Anna Marie, for your years of service, your vision, and your heart. Northern New Mexico is better because of you.
